My 1st new website has taken it's first step

After lengthy search and search again, I decided for a niche that has on average 2900/month exact searches for the domain name I chose. I hope that is a start in the right direction?
Now I have changed the DNS settings on GoDaddy and I guess waiting for their confirmation before I can proceed with the uploading of the template for the site. From then on, I will be "a good student" on everything that has to do with articles/keywords/SEO, and I might already prepare you that I will need some suggestions and help later on......;-)
