Need some help--at a fork in the road!!

I am stuck. I have been stuck on Level 3, Lesson 8 for a while. Lots of good study, and also enjoyable, has been put into my lessons and site. I think I should be at the place where I should be starting to earn some income, but I feel like I am all dressed up with no where to go. My site is just sitting there, no traffic, no nothing. So, I keep asking myself why should I experiment with Adsense and Affiliate marketing if no one is viewing my site. I have done all the keyword work, the authority work, while writing content. Remember, I started from scratch with no knowledge of this stuff.
Do I just walk away or is there any hope here? I admit that I do not know how to bring my site into the public eye.
