Goals
As probably all of you, I too was recently requested to write my goals for this year. Honestly, I am not at all motivated by goals. Not any more. Maybe because of my age, I don't know... I can say though that as younger I did use goals to be more organised and focused, so I know the feeling :o) BUT my relationships sufferd. Had no time for people. As I was growing older, I noticed that my priorities in life changed. It became more important to talk to people and spend quality time with them. It became more important how I do somehting than the very result. It became more important to know why I am doing it than to impress someone with my achievement. Now, I am aware it doesn't have to be either-or. Therefore I am willing to try it again. Hopefully, this time in a more balanced way: both people AND goals.
We are already in the middle of this year but my goal for the end of it is to create one good page about depression which will be both informative and inspirational, which readers will visit to learn something and find their resource.
My plan (and goal) is to start another page as well, but did not think about the topic yet.
These days my dad and me are busy with renovating our flat. I am using this opportunity to get rid of a lot of old, unused stuff. Feels much better! My goal is to finish with that, get our flat painted walls (what's the term?), arrange my room in a way I can receive customers for Reiki treatments, complete "The Artis's Way" tasks. If in addition to all of this I manage to start creating a seminar related to my spiritual community, I will be the most satisfied person on this Earth! =o)

I guess it all depends on where you come from I myself think it is a great way to say it it sounds fun all the best
Just remember - goals are just goals ... exactly as YOU wish them to be. If one of your goals is to spend more quality time with others - it's a legitimate goal. Another goal - to get the walls of your flat painted. These can be mixed in with your more scaled back work related goals. I, at age 60, have made the same kind of revisions in my goals. My focus now is more on flexibility, more freedom to travel, time to spend with my aging mother, my mother-in-law and my step-mother-in-law - all of whom are in their 80's and require time and attention. Plus there is still my husband, daughter and grandchildren to consider. I still want to have a way of earning some of my own income, hence WA ... but I no longer wish to push the work limits to endless hours! Goals can flex and change along with the tides of our lives. Best of luck!
Thank you for your comment, Melody, and for your good wishes! Your approach is encouraging. Flexibility, freedom, travelling... mmm... Very nice :)

What's most important is they are your goals. Make your flat better to make it better for your customers and your community. Excellent goal! Have fun, be satisfied. Dynamic goal! Most encouraging post.
Thank you, Olivera. ^_~
Thank you so much! Your comment is very encouraging. What you mentioned in the text of your profile that "a lot of us are in a hurry or too busy to pause and reflect..." resonates with my heart. Glad we met :)
Goals are critical in life they keep us moving and motivated. After all, it would be hard to drive from Boston to Los Angeles if you didn't have a roadmap or a GPS in today's world and without them would you start the journey, heck you might end up in Florida and although a similar climate you are simply on the wrong side of the country.
