While the Senate debates the bill along with suggest amendments to sugar coat is saying they will ban all earmarks and pork barrels.  Which can be watched at the time of this posting by clicking here now.

A vote on S.510 will be taken by the Senate at 6:30pm ET on 11-29 and a final vote will be taken at 9:00am ET on 11-30 during the session of the Senate on Tuesday.

If S.510 passes, you could be arrested for a felony for planting any food crop in the garden/s on your property.

They debate over two amendments but it appears they want to pass S.510

Appropriately named the "Lame Duck Session", I think we know who the lame ducks are

I couldn't agree more. Here is an interesting note Daniel. Green Smoke got a letter from the Attorney General in California. So they haven't been approved by the FDA. The FTC is throwing out requirements that a whole list of things can't not be included in advertising like quit or stop smoking. While friends have told me they have seen a commercial on television about e-cigarettes. So I'm confused. Are the FDA and FTC not speaking with the FCC? They are all departments of the same country. Can anybody see through the fog yet? IMO, they are all waiting until their multi billion dollar pharmaceutical companies come up with their own version. Then will put it on sale and admit they were wrong. Stating, "There is nothing wrong with using them." ROTFL As for S.510, maybe they need to take the exemption for home vegetable gardens. Do you think that would finally wake up those who are sleeping and start the revolt this country is LONG overdue for? ....nah, probably not. As long as they have their TV and credit cards. Remember what our forefather Benjamin Franklin said.....

They're all hypocrites. Acting pious while being bought out by special interest groups. I threw tomatoes at that video Matt. Maybe throwing tomatoes will be banned in the future. They're not working in the best interest of the country. $500,000 annual sales is nothing for even a small farmer. Who are they kidding? Throwing the dog a bone. Has anyone checked to see how much Monsanto has contributed? I called and wrote my senators and told all my friends to do the same. Unfortunately, one of my senators is Dodd, and House rep is Rosa DeLauro who got voted back in. I hope they do do something that will trip up and defeat this bill. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Our job is to watch and spread the word. Scary to me how many people are depending on others to voice opposition for them when it requires all of us to speak up.

Correction on Willie Nelson...is not jailed yet, evidently, but is looking at two years if his lawyers can't bail him out.

This is just one of the idiotic things that really fries my ass!

The FDA wants to put a ban on such things as people trying to make a living off their small farms (it may be so that home vegetable gardens are exempt from this, but it's my opinion that the real interest doesn't lie in food safety, but in looking after the best interest of the food producing giants.

I don't advocate smoking pot either (because I personally think it is unhealthy for me) but this marijuana prohibition thing is also a mess because the FDA condones the sale of tobacco. How long is it going to be before clinical testing is done on products like Green Smoke and become banned for some stupid reason - yet the tobacco industry, as it stands with its traditional products, remains a multi-billion dollar-per-year enterprise - killing far more people than pot even comes close to in a year.

Same thing with alcohol. Which one is legal and which one is absolutely forbidden - and comes with prison terms? Just look at Willie Nelson - now imprisoned, vehicle seized because he had six ounces of put in that vehicle - because he ventured out of California into Texas with it. Not sure, but from what I hear, this was medical marijuana - a felony in Texas. Nice way to spend two years in jail - at 77 years old.

I guess they make more money busting people than they would legalizing and taxing it...or criminalizing alcohol and tobacco.

Then there's people who come up with cures for different ailments - cures...not symptom-masking agents...but because the FDA knows that finding cures for many things would mean a drastic drop in business.

After all even the health-care industry we call allopathy...needs returning customers. Why not let these small time operators build up a small fortune curing people and when that matures...it's harvest time for the FDA when they swoop in and seize everything and shut 'em down.

There are literally hundreds of lame duck issues here - and a general "dumbing-down" of an entire population!

I have been checking the numbers on sites that I trust for the last week. The latest numbers I saw on phone Calls and faxes to Senator's offices was close to 123 million. Are more people starting to wake up and realize they have a voice in what takes place? That, "I don't do or discuss politics", is the reason we are in this mess? You should bury your nose in it on a weekly basis.

Ya know if this thing does pass we can still give ourselves a pat on the back, because if it were not for folks like us spreading the word it would have passed without exemptions and that would have been,.. I can't even imagine what kind of that hell would be.

I see you know who the REAL Conspiracy Theorists are. The ones on the "Hill" and those that broadcast the news into your living room on a daily basis. God give me strength....

Yeah, but if the 1099 health care amendment gets tacked on to this thing it will fail. About the egg farce that comes as no surprise to me, just like those salmonella infected tomatoes, they never told us were deliberately sprayed with chicken feces(supposedly as fertilizer) You know how they work create problem (fear) provide solution more regulations.

I was watching. $500,000 is not a very big number considering today's prices and costs. What people don't know about this Bill is that it will require "New" equipment that the "Agri-Farms" already have in place and those small farms bringing in, ..more than the dollar amount set, ...will need to purchase in order to continue their business. Which they can't afford. If they can, ...I wonder who will be there ready to sell it to them? It's all about "Big Money" as usual. All the way around. I heard dumb Dodd speak earlier in the day with his Hollywood type acting. Giving the reference to the false egg recall. Stating 1,800 were affected by it. Which included no deaths and is a hair of a percentage compared to a country of over 320 million.

They added the exemptions for home gardens, produce stands and small farms with less than 500,000 in annual sales. A small victory, cause they are moving forward to the final vote on Tuesday. 69 Yes 26 No
