Following the training Works
After attending Jay's online training SEO 101 - The basics, I decided to try it out and see if it works. I took a 600 word post I threw together, that had no internal/external links, none of the SEO strategies implemented and was not ranking on either Google, Bing or Yahoo.
I applied the training, spent 10 minutes putting in internal/external links, fixed the SEO, included the social Facebook and twitter (which I didn't even know existed), and re submitted it through Google Search Console.
Result:Within 5 hours that short nothing post is now ranking 3rd position in Google and 1st in Bing. The training works.
I also got some very valuable feedback information from a WA member Diane, that as an Amazon affiliate, my website was not compliant to their rules. This is really important for new comers. I know many are now moving away from Amazon, and I am looking at other affiliates as well. But, I have to decided to leave what I have already done.
As my website is young I have decided to stop writing content, go back and fix the SEO and make sure my affiliate pages are compliant. Nailing this now, can really help me move forward, and avoid a big headache further down the track.
Thank you to all those WA members who have helped me a long the way, your time is appreciated, and your advice is implemented.

That fantastic. I have experienced similar after I fixed up external and internal links and keywords. Thanks for the blog. Jen
Thats great NRleddy and it shows the training does pay off but ofcourse with conviction on your part too. Im getting the flow of the current.
That's awesome Nicholas glad you are setting in and getting to grips with everything, it does take a bit of time, but it will all make sense in the end. If I can do it, anyone can :)

Hi Nadine,
In my opinion you've done the right thing temporarily and that is to take Jay's training and implement it on your existing posts before doing any more.
That way you'll get them all done out of the way (you might even tweak a few of them) and could start getting similar results to the post you've already done...mighty oaks from acorns and all that!
Well done, I hope it gives you lots of encouragement :-)
