About NLKBenson
Joined November 2016
Hello, my name is Nathan, I'm 16 years old and am currently attending a sixth form college in England studying Media, Business and Law. I am eager to start my own business and build it from the ground up and I saw Wealthy Affiliate as the perfect opportunity to do so. I hope to make something out of my time here and I am very excited to see where this takes me.
NLKBenson's Goals 3
Money Goals
I am happy to be earning any money at all from this venture as it is my first step in starting my own business but to give a figure I would estimate roughly £50 per month in the beginning stages.
I would be ecstatic earning anything above £50 but again to give an estimate I would say at least £150 and I am willing to put all of my spare time into this as I am quite busy with studies and other tasks throughout my day but this will be my main focus from now on alongside college.

I think it's great to have the mindset to put in the work and be patient with the results... You will be learning a lot of useful things along the way, and I'm sure you will be able to reach the goals you have set and move past them...

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hello Kyle, I do have a niche in mind but I would love your input. I want to make a website that links in to video games as that has been a large part of my life for the past 10 years or so. I would like to make a website where people can come together as a community and have discussions about certain games or game genres (etc) as well as the website proving them with information on where to purchase games for the best deals and providing them with support in any areas that I can.

You will want to narrow it down a little. What aspect of video games (the games themselves, devices, externals, hardware, etc)? What genre? What console? What game? Lots of ways you can narrow things down here.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Ideally I would like to have a page dedicated to PC games and a page dedicated for the PS4 and Xbox 1 (etc) and I will have a page dedicated to each genre of game so that people can discuss in separate forums as well as a general discussions page where people can discuss regardless of their preferred console and such. I feel that this would open up the website to a wider audience.

I would narrow it down to just one when starting out. You don't want to be too broad or you are going to be too overwhelmed as there will be literally 100,000's of things you can discuss. Focus on a particular console, you can always diversify down the road.

Ok thank you. I'll just focus on what I know best initially (PC).

Sounds good Nathan! :)

I will give this a try but I am having second thoughts about it after looking at the keywords. There is a really high amount of competition for all of them but almost all of them have a traffic of <10 per month so I don't see much point in carrying on with it, but the problem with that is I haven't got a clue as to what niche I would use.

There are tons of awesome keywords out there in ANY niche. What are you search for when doing your keyword research? Use this technique when coming up with your keyword research and you will have tons of ideas: Do this with any keyword and you are suddenly going to be in a position where you have too many keywords!

If you do need a hand with anything going forward do let me know. :)

I just used this and found some great keywords thank you, but now I must ask what do I do with them? I saved a bunch of keywords using Jaaxy but I don't know how to utilise them.

Keywords are the premise of all of your content. Ideally you will be finding keywords with a lower competition (also known as QSR) because it means that you are going to be competition with less websites in Google when you go to create your content.

You want your keyword to meet the following criteria:

(1) Must be lower than 200 QSR initially, as you get more authority in search engines you can tackle more competitive search terms.
(2) Must get some traffic, I ideally aim for over 50 searches per month
(3) Must make grammatical sense

Once you have your keyword, you are going to create a page or a post on your website targeting that keyword. It should be within the following places in your content:

(1) Somewhere in the page/post title
(2) Somewhere within the first paragraph

And then write your content naturally and make sure it is engaging. People search "keywords" when they are looking for something so as you start getting ranked under these keywords, you are going to start to see traffic.

Once you have traffic...you have a ton of opportunity to generate revenue.

Hope this helps you out Nathan!
