MY FIRST BOOK IS GETTING PUBLISHED, AND I'VE ACQUIRED A BOOK CONTRACT!
I can't believe what I'm about to tell you all. I received a call about an hour ago from a publishing company telling me they want me book contract with them! It's my very first non-fiction book about my marriage (Go Figure). Anyway, it talks about the ups and the downs and how I coped with the verbal abuse and just stayed respectful throughout every argument. There are a lot of coping strategies I mention in the book, but that's besides the point.
I'm a freaking author. How cool is that? Now, I do have a request or favor to ask anyone that is also an author and has signed a book contract. Is there anyone of you that can come forward and inbox me? The guy said he will be sending the contract to my email tomorrow, and I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off based on my professional book I wrote. I have no clue whatsoever what to look for and what is fair and not fair. All that I know is that this publishing company does all of the editing and formatting for free, and they also print and help sell the book. I just receive 70% of the sales from all stores and websites they are dispersed to. Does that seem fair?
Anyway, what I had planned on doing was to forward the book contract to you, and you could check to see if the criteria was fair and appropriate. I feel that they are going to be very professional, but if I were the guy writing the contract to a brand new author, I'd probably take advantage of that person to teach them a lesson which is why I'm asking for professional help from some of my professional affiliates on this website.

From what little I have researched, that percentage seems very good! I read that it's sometimes half that, but I haven't come even close to the position to really know any of that officially. I dabble in screenwriting and thriller novels.
Yea, I'm writing in here because I think there's way more money and less work. Any advice on driving traffic and keywords getting ranked. I keep watching videos to help drive traffic, but I can't seem to get my keywords and pages, titles, etc ranked. Please hit me up with some advice on this. It would be much appreciated.

I'm no good when it comes to giving advice. Some other advice I can give is to make sure you have all of your content good and informative. I don't want to start driving traffic yet because I feel like my websites not complete. I'm talking format, menu, posts, plug ins, widgets, etc. I just want it to be presentable so they can tell their friends to visit my site because it looked professional and full of important and interesting information.

Tap the keg! Haha. No, but for real have any of you signed a book contract? Is there an cash advance payment that I earn on the signing of the contract? I researched that thoroughly, but I'm not sure if that's for everyone? Does anyone know the answer to that question?
