First article published
I have been messing around with writing my first article for way too long. Things kept coming up. Laundry, dishes, home repair, elder care, craft orders to fill and the list goes on. However, today, I decided enough was enough. I took my iPad outside, sat down at my homemade from the scrap pile, potting table and typed out my article. Of course my lap dog, who does not respect personal space, even in 90 degree weather, absolutely had to sit on my lap. It was all good until he would not stop licking my hands. LOL.
Anyway, my first article of this time around, has been published and I feel like i am over some kind of hurdle. I am hoping now, I will be able to move myself along a little faster! Fingers crossed and determination mustered. Hee hee...

MKearns, I am completely baffled as to my response to you. I keep typing a response and it shows perfectly on my screen. I hit reply and it shows up as a jumbled mess. I deleted and tried several more times. The last time I edited the original and it looked ok. Now i come back to my computer tonight and the comment is just an empty box!! I am so confused. So sorry if my responses have not made sense!!
I don’t think you did anything. I think it must have been a problem here. Just so odd. No worries tho. I was just trying to thank you you for your kind words and it seems to be ok now. So all is well.
Congrats!!! I know how easy it is to get distracted and bogged down. I have not been doing anything with my sites lately even though everything was going really well. It is summer in Alaska...that is too good to miss. I also had a flare up of my health issues and it was all I could do to get to work.
Good for you for getting into it! I have learned over the last few years here that consistency is really, really important (unfortunately since I tend to go in waves). When I am consistent I get more traffic and when I stop posting it dwindles. I never posted as much as recommended though. Even 1 post a week is enough to keep the algorithms happy.
Wow. Good to know about the consistency! I live in Michigan. My summers may not be quite as short as yours but due to my food allergies, summer is critical to my healthy eating. I grow a variety of foods that I can't buy from the grocery. Things like zucchini because they wax it. I react to the wax. So in the summer I plant oodles and eat it non stop. Then I have absolutely no desire to eat zucchini again until the next summer
I am jealous. I used to have huge gardens and greenhouses growing up. We lived in a remote part of the state so we grew much of our own food. I miss it!
Congratulations...I too have had the list keep me from posting but in reality I believe I was using the list as an excuse as I’m not a fan of writing. Now I’m annoyed if I don’t post once ever 3 days or so LOL. Keep the momentum going and you’ll be chomping at the bit to write your next post...
Your words make me smile, knowing that I was not the only one using my list as an excuse or maybe a roadblock. Lol.
Thank you for your words of encouragement!
Lol..no problem. I still do it but I know I'm doing it and then I shame myself into getting my stuff done :).
