Pinterest growth

Hello friends!

My Pinterest account is growing steadily! I am pleased to say that I'm nearing the 4k followers mark:). I have had a really insane week and neglected my empire building for a few days, and still managed to grow. It's seems that as long as you continue pinning, your account will grow regardless of the mass following.

I hope everyone else is experiencing sustained growth as well. Once I reach the 10k goal, I will slow a bit on the mass procedure so I can focus that time to working on my Twitter account.

If any of you have a Twitter growth tutorial, please let me know! I plan to focus my social media to Pinterest first, then Twitter... They appear to be the most influential of the social networks.

If we have not connected on Pinterest, please let me know!

Best wishes!

-Nicki

This a great Nicki, thank you! I just followed you on Pinterest and am going to start creating boards!

I'll go find you and follow back:)

I see you have some Pinterest training on your website.

I like the site, but I would suggest more white spacing and more pictures, possibly some more headings, even if the subject change is only ever so slight. It'll make it easier for the typical reader to read.

Thanks for the feedback! Today marks one month for me here at WA and on building my website/blog:) It's growing steadily, but has a very long way to go. I just started using some new programs so I will be adding more pictures and breaking up the spaces better. I've been a ghost writer for over 20 years, and most of my writing has been academic and technical... Which explains the tighter format. I'm working hard at loosening my writing style:).
Seriously though, thank you for the feedback!

I completely understand the academic writing. I write academically quite often. When it comes to my websites, I have to get in a mood to write conversationally.. LOL

It's so much more difficult than I had planned. Lol I feel your pain!:)

I hope I can understand Pinterest.

Me to.

I miss to understand the point of followers. It is easy to collect, just follow everybody who is offered. But in the end do they really look into your boards? I doubt so. I myself have no time to see anything of those boards and pins of people whom I formally 'follow'. So what is their benefit of having me as a follower, and vice versa? This all looks pointless.

If you are not using others boards, then you really are missing the point of this network.
Pinterest drives more traffic to websites than ANY other social network. If you have a website or blog, and you do not grow your Pinterest... You are missing out on a potentially huge network of future affiliates, and buyers of your wares.
With Pinterest, you build boards that people want to follow, then fill them with pins that people want to pin. The foundation of your network is what you build in your boards.
I have over 7k pins. I have a ton of repins by not just my followers, but their followers as well.
I think you would benefit by starting at my 'Pinterest for beginners' tutorial.
Those that master Pinterest find great success in selling their products and recruiting.
Best wishes

I have 55 boards and over 700 pins so far.

Do not understand what you mean by 'if you are not using other boards'. Do you mean boards of other people? I am supposed to re-pin their pins. So what differences does this make?

You are saying how much stuff you have there and how many 'followers'. But I miss the only important info: how does this affect traffic on your site(s)?

I am not questioning what you say, I want to understand it. Do not find such info on the blog you mentioned. What exactly should I do to increase traffic?

1

Ok, first.. You shouldn't pin JUST your own stuff. Some of the best Pinterest marketers advise pinning 20% pins from your site (which leads to more traffic to your site which in turn equals an increase in revenue.) and 80% pins from others boards. (Finding useful pins that compliment your boards from other users boards) This gives your followers broad pinning choices to populate their own boards.
Second.. By having more followers, you increase the likelihood that your own personal pins will be seen by those that convert to sales revenue.
If you do not invest the time into growing your Pinterest, it will never be a good marketing tool.
If you don't have a wide range of USEFUL pins, you won't keep or get as many followers.
If you do not pin your own stuff from your website, it will never drive traffic to your site.
If you don't help drive traffic to your site you are limiting your earning potential to just search engine results.

Pinterest is a VALUABLE marketing tool for those that want to grow their empire. The Pinterest tutorials on my website offer more in depth information and some other tools to help you make the most of Pinterest.

Good luck!
