Pinterest and other updates
Hello my lovelies!
Despite the fact that I haven't mass followed in over a week, I'm well over the 4100 mark and growing steadily. I have also pinpointed the ideal time to pin your own stuff from your site... After 8pm until 3am. I don't know why, but all week I mingled my pins in with other users pins and found that mine were only given love after 8pm!
I also posted a new article on my site yesterday that officially fills out my pages! If you haven't checked out my website, licensetoblog.com, please do! I ALWAYS need comments on my articles! And I'm happy to return the favor!
I will spend this week fine tuning my existing articles and adding more affiliate ads, photos etc. A wonderful WA member gave me a fabulous critique of my site and let me know that I still write too academically:) I am working on making my site more relaxed! Feedback is always appreciated and again, I do return the favor!
If you want me to comment on your site or give you feedback, please comment here with your site addy or specific article you need comments for and I will be happy to oblige:)
Best wishes!
-Nicki

Thanks for the up date Nick I , still have to get on the Pinterest trail . Your system works very well .
Thanks for the PInterest advice Nicki! Between 8 PM and 3 am huh? Well I am definitely up between these hours! I am getting a ton of followers with your strategy and it's been great.
I will take a look at your site, but here is mine. http://howtolearntoplaypiano.com. If you could comment on some posts that don't have comments, that would be amazing! I will comment on your site tomorrow. It's definitely important to make a site relaxed. People don't want to read something that sounds like it was written by a professor trying to teach a lecture :)
By the way, here are two PInterest question for you. How do you find a board that you followed on PInterest (for some reason this is very difficult to find.) And how do you find a specific user on PInterest if you don't know their account username? Like if I wanted to find someone's name without having to go through all of my followers, how would I do this? Thanks Nicki!
You can use the search function for people, boards, and pins! I actually stumbled on that by accident lol:). The board you followed will show up in your 'feed' any time they pin to it, or you can go to your Pinterest home page and you'll see your followers and following. Click following and see if any ring a bell:) lol otherwise the search is your best bet. I will visit your site today:)
Hey, thanks for this! But what if you can't remember the boards you followed in the first place, how are you supposed to find those? I just wish PInterest made it a little easier to find the boards you followed :/
I also left some questions for you on a couple of posts. I'm especially looking forward to answers of the beta version of PInterest. By the way, when I do pin, I get around 40 re-pins per week. Is that good?
Oh, alright. By the way, one more question. Sorry I have so many of them, haha. So last night I followed a bunch of people, but only got a few followers back. However, when I follower followers of people who I'm following and follow me back, I get at least 100 followers in a day. Why is this? Is this because people are more likely to follow people they see has something in common with who's already following them? Like common interest followers? I hope this makes sense, but when I follow random people I get way less followers. When I follow people's followers who are already following me I get way more followers. Have you noticed this trend, or what can I do to fix this issue to ensure that my following count doesn't get way more than my followers count?
Yes, having something in common really helps! The reason I have so much success with mass following is because I have soooo many different boards that are highly populated. That's why building your boards is important.
Yeah, I know! I just need to get into the habit of pinning every day, instead of every other day or every few days. Haha. I am actually taking a break right now, but I'll get back into it once I've finished school in December. How many pins do you have in your boards?
..or I like to say - personalize your blog. Make it as personal as you can. The more personal you make it the more your readers can relate to you. This builds trust and then hopefully more traffic.
I have 67 pinterest followers after 3 months. I thought that was good, lol!
I agree!:)
And with a bit of work, you could do even better on Pinterest! We all have room for improvement somewhere:)
