Writing a lot, but saying a little.

It has come to my attention over the past few months that I read many blogs and sometimes even trainings that are regurgitation rather than original or even quality content.

Please for the sake of all who are reading and our time post only relevant information that is original or at least adds to what has been taught. I hope that this improves the quality of posts made.

It might even be helpful to go back and edit and delete previousblogs that are time consuming with little added value.

Thank you,

Benjamin

Thanks Benjamin, someone had to mention it. I know i wanted to....and was close to it a couple times but bit my tongue. Now i don't know if i should spend the time opening ALL of them or just started deleting half of them? It is bothersome because there is so much great info coming but you have to weed through a page or 2 of email to find it…

Thank you Benjamin!

Great advice, very true, thanks for sharing, Benjamin. :))

You said it bro! Too much writing with minimal value is a waste of time to write, and to read. This advice needs to be observed as closely as possible, both on WA, and on your website. Make your content easy to consume!

Thanks for the idea of my new blog post, check it out in about twenty minutes, starting now. It will be today's blog post so it should be easy enough to find, since we only get one a day, as far as I know.

Good point there sir.

Ah yes I forgot to mention, Benjamin, and anyone else reading, go to my blogs and read them, and tell me if I have been deliberately copying someone else's stuff. In a thousand days when u r finished checking through several thousand or even a million blogs, let me know if my content is plagiarism? I will promptly remove any blog posts about my own particular situation.

I apologise most profusely if my true story, or stories, are similar to other peoples stories. I have no right to endure similar situations that someone else has had and for that I apologise deeply.

Peace and Love,

James

I'm not a person to frivolously read all the material here. Usually additional training and blogs come from my contacts that have blogged it. I can't say I have witnessed any plagiarism yet, however undoubtedly I'm sure it's there in all its glory.

With the amount of people registered on this you're shouting against a brick wall - you may find linking out to websites http://www.problogger.net/how-to-write-great-blog-content/ that add value to peoples content more worthwhile

I feel this is very negative - haven't seen many of these before! :)

Hi Benjamin

It's not often in fact this is probably the first time I have done so but I will have to disagree with you on this blog post. I do understand where you are coming from and I do see that to some it can be frustrating to read the same things over again. I must however point out that some people who have joined Wealthy Affiliate have never written a blog in their life and some I will expect find it very difficult to come up with fresh content. Wealthy affiliate is a learning platform and every part of it including personal blog are tools to learn. Myself if I see content that is not fresh rather than state this as a problem will totally encourage and applaud the fact that the member has the courage to blog. As they develop the skills and the confidence then the quality of the blog will also improve. We are all at different levels and this MUST be a consideration.

Respect

Tim

I agree that members should be encouraged but I also know that there is some blatant plagiarism done and passed off as original material.
You haven't been here all that long so perhaps you haven't come across it yet but you will and you will perhaps see where Ben and myself are coming from.
have great day/evening.
Robert

Maybe's Robert. Just my opinion mate. Just my nature maybe naive.

Tim

I agree with that Tim, as a newbie myself I often find out long after I have blogged something, that there is another blog similar to what I said myself. U can't be expected to read every single person's blogs before actually making your first blog. Just go ahead and blog what YOU think is true, relevant and useful to any reader. It doesn't matter that my blog is similar by accident to someone else who blogged the same thing a couple of years ago.

Catch my drift Benjamin? Can YOU go through a million blogs first just to make sure that your new blog post is not the same subject, topic etc? I mean, we are after all in an affiliate marketing site where people are blogging all about the same topics, sometimes things will be repeated perfectly innocently, people have the same questions, don't you?

Peace man,

James

All part of the learning curve.
You live and learn as they say.
have a great day.
Robert

I agree with what you say as well about blogging about similar topics.
But it only takes one member to shout SPAM and your blog is taken off and perhaps you lose your writing privileges as well.
Beware is all I'm saying coz it happened to me a few days ago.
have a nice day.
Robert

yes peeps, don't copy people's blogs and try to make it look like your own blog. But...just because someone else has already blogged about their experiences with SEO for instance, it does not mean that you cannot blog about your own experiences with SEO.

Basically just don't copy something, do your own take on it, u will benefit in the short term AND the long term.

Cheers Rob,

Bob

I know what you're saying but all it takes is for someone to take a dislike to you or a comment you made about them.
Some people just can't take criticism constructive or otherwise.
I have seen it happen so many times so just be careful.
Have a good day.
Robert

Hi Ben. I sometimes refer back to some of my previous blogs for the simple reason that people forget or they don't take it in the first time round.
I don't mean I repeat an old blog word for word but I do borrow passages from those I have published before just to make a point.
I do agree with you about some blogs and training but I also believe that some members are, shall we say 'Borrowing' from other more knowledgeable members in order to increase their WA ranking.
Have a great day/evening.
Robert
