A great writer once said something to this effect; "great writing comes more from transpiration than inspiration", meaning work your text and it will be great.

Writers block will be scared off if you sit down and simply write complete jibberish! Just write down every word that comes to mind.

Soon the floodgates of writing will open, and the jibberish will be replaced by structured thought. At least that works for me and I hope it may help you too Nick.

This happens to everyone sometimes. It's good to take a short break sometimes. Have something nice to eat and relax. You can even take a short walk and look around. I think this will give you different ideas to focus on. All the best.

I get you well. I get that problem at times. The greatest step is to start. Words will come by.

I read all kinds of articles, news, and books - it helps me think of stuff to write about - Shirley
I also go to google and put in a keyword and look at the results, you can get lots of inspiration right there.

Jot down lots of thoughts when they come on your topic. Those will help trigger articles when you need them. A walk is a great idea for sure. My favorite break usually involves an ice cream cone!

What else annoys you.... I could write about how those shopping trolleys hurt in the back of the heel when they run into you, or star gazzers that stop in the aisle whilst they look and think..... tee hee

Sorry but I had to chuckle when I read your title. Not leaving anything to be misunderstood! LOL
we've all been there.

Get an RSS reader and subscribe to several feeds in your niche. This has been one of the biggest writer's block busters for my writing. Honestly, ever since using this, I can't remember the last time I experience writer's block.
