Are YOU taking advantage of all your opportunities?
Yesterday was my son's 20th birthday. He is my last boy who has secured a place at a University in London.
While talking with him he stated that he has secured several side hustles in the form of tutoring Year 11's - Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Spanish.
He was excited as he found it quite lucrative as his students were growing weekly, and the best thing is that his advertising were only via word of mouth.
Isn't that what we are all working to achieve as entrepreneurs? Our main aim is getting sales, clients or referrals via word of mouth or via the quality of our content on our website.
I smiled as he was relaying his news because I wholeheartedly believes that opportunities are there to be taken to help us learn and grow,
That's the main reasons I've accepted three guest opportunities to be interviewed on a podcast, and talk on a Summit.
I was asked and although speaking in front of a crowd literally scares me, I had to throw out fear and accept.
I was disappointed within myself for cancelling my talk at an International Conference in Paris this month, all because of my fear of standing before a crowd, even though it was going to be virtual.
If all else fails, I was told to picture all the guests naked, Urgh. I will never be doing that!
I believe that although opportunities takes us out of our comfort zone, it will also improve our chances to be successful.
Like my son, I will be taking advantage of all the offers that will be coming my way.
Until next time,
Simone
What opportunities have you had lately?

At the moment, I think I have taken advantage of all that I should- took me several years testing the waters (and emptying the pocketbook to boot). On my end though, it is about providing services (so no affiliate marketing yet, it is time to get on that boat though)
Now, it is time to put all things together and start "running with" like they say.
To our success. Simeone
My agency provides marketing (both digital and traditional), app and tool development (I might have hinted at this to you last year) and financing for local US businesses (will be going global soon)
And as I said before, after a certain threshold of success is reached, I will share the story on here (as this community sped up the process of actualisation)
Good morning Simone,
It's great that your son is doing well and has drive, it sounds like he takes after his mum!
Congratulations on your opportunities; that's fantastic, well done. It's not easy for some of us to talk in front of a crowd, but I believe by taking small steps we can build ourselves up to do bigger and greater things.
Several years ago, when I was part of a large church in London. I had the opportunity to assist in leading the prayer meeting. It was a church of around 20,000 people, although they did not all meet in the same building. We had small groups in the church which were referred to as cell groups. I was in a leadership cell group and we had the opportunity to lead the prayer meeting. I must admit I found it quite daunting, however, I had a helper!
In answer to your question, Simone, I have had a few companies ask if I could promote their products, which is great.
Wishing you a very happy Friday and a great weekend.
Roy
You had a large responsibility, Roy!
But as you've stated that if we take it in small chunks we will eventually do a great job and it decrease the anxiety and stress as well
Have a great weekend
Thank you for stopping by
Good morning Simone,
I believe it's important to take small steps which eventually lead to larger steps. I believe that we have both seen this happen.
I'm really pleased that things are happening for you, great stuff!
A very happy weekend to you.
Roy
I am too, Roy
It is not easy to push forward through challenges
But I am trying my very best
I hear you, Simone.
I really think you are giving it your best shot and being very honest as well. I know you have been documenting your journey throughout. I believe that this not only helps others, including people like myself, but it also helps us to take action.
Wishing you a productive Saturday.
Roy
Roy, I always believe in being true to myself and documenting my journey is as much for me as for everyone else.
It will help me monitor my progress of this awesome journey
Happy birthday to your son Simone 🎂🎂🎂
I am so impressed to see you have some great opportunities!
I am sure you will be great at public speaking.
The audience will love you, because you have the care factor on your side.
Kind regards
Erica
Thank you, Erica
I hope I will be good at public speaking, once I've calmed down lol
It's lovely connecting with you
Thank you for stopping by
You never know what fits until you try it on. I have tried many new things, and some of them work beautifully and contribute a great deal to my overall progress. Some just slow me down, for whatever reason, so even though I try them, I discard the ones that don't work for me.
That is my feelings too, Fran
All opportunities that will come my way, I will try and be involved in.
Your Son is growing into a fine young man Simone, and what else could he be with you as his mother??
We all need to leave our comfort zones at times to grasp any and all opportunities in front of us...
We shouldn't fear anything (apart from big hairy spiders of course) get out there and just do it!!
Best of luck with your upcoming summit talk my friend... you've got this!!
👍🙂
lol
You're scared of spiders, Nick?
I would never know lol
Thank you for your kind wishes for my son
I'm really looking forward to these upcoming summits.
I'm certainly not a huge fan of arachnids Simone!
They're not too bad here, but... some of them when I lived in Brazil... horrible!!
You're most welcome my friend and I am sure that you are! :-)
happy birthday to your son Simone! thank you for sharing your story. remember, sometimes you need to go out on a limb, because that's where all the fruit is.
I lived in London for two years teaching in Roehampton, living in Fulham. Some fond memories for me. have a great day 😊🙏🚴♂️
You're in the UK?
Wow!
I've heard about all those places, but never visited except London
I worked there for more than 5 years :)
You're right, sometimes we do need to go out on a limb to to be able to catch the fruits :)
Cheers for the birthday wishes for my son
I will pass on the kind wishes
I'm back home in Australia now Simone. I just lived in London for 2 years, teaching and travelling a lot. have a great day
Happy birthday 🥳 to your son, 20 is a magical time..
A conference in Paris…wow..that would have been great…I’m twisted,I love public speaking but it can be stressful if you are not used to it…I use to hate it, but have done so many now..300 people was my biggest and that was for a seminar. About 5 hours of training, by me. Poor people didn’t know what hit them.lol. Vietnamese teachers from central Vietnam .
Picturing people naked would make me WANT to throw up. Ewww.
Next time ..
Stephen
lol
5 hours, Stephen!
And they sit through all of that?
Were you punishing them or did they have breaks?
Thank you for your kind support and response
One of my aim is to be more visible with my brand
And that's what I'm working towards, hence the opportunities
Sound you love public speaking
Haha..it was over a whole day and I was teaching them how to teach English to Vietnamese students. We had breakout activities , etc ..the whole deal.. games and prizes… they all stood up and clapped me.. probably didn’t understand me..lol.
lol
That sounds really interesting. I had the same feeling when I'm teaching ESL. It is a rewarding job

Belated congrats!
Oh , public speaking, isn't it human's biggest fear... What helps me, not without public speaker angst myself, is to remember that most people are too busy with their own mindset and thought process anyway, so the importance I lay on my words, my appearance, my nerves, and my shiny red face (caused by anxiety) isn't met in reality.
Awesome visualisation to get thorough public speaking
