A Smooth Transition of Power: Perspective, Prosperity & The People
As a business owner, an American Citizen, a mother and a woman there aren't a lot of things that I take lightly, with the exception of how I look at the way I live my life.
Today, as you may now know, here in the States, Donald Trump is the new President-Elect scheduled to be sworn in January 2017. To that end, in this quick post I will not share with you my thoughts on the vote, however, I will let you know how the 2016 US Presidential Election has taught me a few things that I now hold near and dear to my heart.
Hopefully this post will excite your passion to strive for clarity in what it is that you do, or at the very least, motivate you to search beyond what you can see with your eyes, as you make plans to build a successful and profitable business.
The People
To begin, let me say that no matter what niche you are in, your focus should always be on servicing the People! Your target audience, your readers, your visitors. Those who will eventually become your buyers. If you are meeting their needs, providing achievable solutions to real problems or concerns that the People have, then success and prosperity will naturally occur.
Prosperity
As a business owner, your success and prosperity is greatly dependent upon your ability to make sales to the people who will buy-in to your product, your service, your personality, your business philosophy, TO YOU! Point blank.
There have been recent decisions in the media that you see frequently that are evident of what is proposed in this post. (Wink. Wink.) I am sure you can think of one BIG one today. (Smile.)
Perspective
The way you see things and the way things may appear are not always as they seem. We have all heard the adage, things aren't always what they seem. Okay, with this, I just figure that while at this moment, I may look at a situation for what it is or for what it isn't; however, in doing so my perspective is my reality.
The same is true for your audience, while you may think that your efforts have gone unnoticed or maybe you feel like you need to do more-- someone on the other end of the spectrum may feel like your product or your service is AWESOME. That belief that they have is based on their perspective and values at the time that they are looking into your products or services, you know?
So take it for what it is and go with the flow!
Deductive Validity and Soundness
As many of you know when you look at deductive logic in our everyday lives, we simply want to form basic principles of good reasoning. This is how we come to "logical" decisions and choices. Again, I am not writing this post to confuse you, or to bore you. The tone of this post is to help provide clarity to many things that may seem unclear to you as you embark on your "success journey".
That said, to better outline what I am trying to get you to understand, here is an example of reasoning through a valid deductive situation or argument:
There are four, and only four, people bidding for your product on eBay: Princess Ellie, Emmy Christopher, Conrad Powers, and Jennifer Wang.
Princess Ellie is bidding $48.44
Emmy Christopher is bidding $48.44
Conrad Powers is bidding $48.44
Jennifer Wang is bidding $48.44
------------------------------------------
All of the people bidding for your product on eBay are bidding $48.44
This situation is truth-preserving! If the premises are all true, then the conclusion must be true.
Now, when you look at everything that you are doing to be the leader of your business. To have the power to make necessary decisions, you have to logically and clearly plan to meet the needs of the people you are serving. Again, your audience, your visitors, your readers, who eventually become your BUYERS!
To conclude, you can harvest the essence of power and the peoples' perspective of it if you give the People what they want (which means that you must know what it is that they desire). While you may not look at power, success or prosperity in the same way as your audience does, no matter how it may appear to the average eye, you will reach success, you will prosper and as a natural consequence, you will inevitably steer your ship toward a smooth transition of power.
Now, the question is, do you really want it?
--------------------- I'd love to hear your thoughts!-----------------------
My very best,
Nerissa S.
