SAC First Training Midpoint - The Start Of The Journey

Here we are exactly halfway through the first SAC training course. I have to remind myself that it is a journey. Take time to see the sights, meet people, learn, and best of all have fun.

So, how am I doing on my journey? Stressed, slightly overwhelmed, excited, and enthused. Kind of an emotional smorgasbord. So first, let's cover the less fun emotions...

I Swear This Isn't My Fault

Stressed is an understatement... I asked to be involved in the SAC. People said it was a lot of work, I guess I just over estimated my time.

So we go through the first training and we are asked to post 12 times to our site... at 1,500 words I calculated that as 18,000 words. Sounded doable, but only being able to do this late at night is making it difficult.

Don't worry though, I don't want to let down the following people (in this order)

  • Myself - Darn it... I can do this
  • Kyle - He accepted me into the program
  • My New Friends Here - They are always there with kind words
  • My Family - They don't understand it yet, but when this works they will

Ok, now that I read that I may be a little less stressed...

This One Is On Me

Yes I feel a little overwhelmed, but I have to own up to this one. I decided that the SAC is great, the commissions are pretty sweet, so I was going all in.

But I really like my niche website. I am having a blast doing it and don't want to lose what I have started...

So my solution... match my SAC website output on my niche website. So I already knew that 12 posts and 18,000 words was going to be tough, but I decided to double that (for the record, my goal for the first training is 20 posts and 30,000 words).

Am I crazy? Probably, but why not... enough bad, let's focus on the good (I am a glass half full kind of guy)

After That, What Is There To Look Forward To

I must admit I am an eternal optimist... to the point where I can find a positive spin on ANYTHING usually. So how can I possibly be excited when I am stressed and overwhelmed?

Well, it is simple... the vision of where I am going. When I am done with this I know I will have two great websites. Eventually it will lead to earning some money. Who isn't excited about the possibility of earning extra money?

Yes, Great Things Are Ahead

Finally, we get to enthused... I could not be more happy that I found Wealthy Affiliate (and I have only made $3.00). The process, learning, and creating is completely fulfilling. I know it will work out (there is that optimist).

Why will it work out? Because it only depends on me. My desire to succeed and belief in the system have convinced me I will succeed.

Path Forward - Next Half of The First Training

So I am at 8 posts and around 13,000 words leaving me a little off pace (that is 4 for each site). How do I plan on making this happen? By taking a vacation...

Yup, a little time off will do me well. I am taking a day off from my paying job to work on my future paying job. I will write as many posts as possible and publish them on a schedule. This way, I will get there (20 days and 16 posts remaining).

Of course my day off will include a little additional sleep after I catch the playoff hockey game for the local AHL team :)

So how do you catch up when you feel behind?

Cheers!

Nate

Happy enough WA allows all of us to work here according to our own preferred pace.
Enjoy your break if have not taken that.
Cheers.

Thanks David. Break is tomorrow and I am excited for it.

Cheers!

Hi Nate, my goals are similar to yours. I am trying to keep up with my niche site and my SAC site too.
I’m at 4 articles for each site as well - but that is 8 total so I think we are doing well!
I like your idea of a day off ... hmm may check out what I have for holidays from day job to promote my ‘hope to be making money some time soon online business’.
Here’s to 16 more articles - totally doable!

We can do it. I will post tomorrow on how it went...time to rest up for a fun day!

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your progress Nate,
Soldier on ...

Susan

You can do this too! The momentum is tough to start, but once it gets going it builds.
