After a bit more than a month since my previous post, I am now finished with my niche site.
Of course, I would never go out in the wild of the internet before having WAers opinion about my work!
Please be as rigorous as possible, I really need to know if there was any need for amendments!

Great start! Step one is taking action, so congrats on getting the ball rolling.

My suggestions would be to:

1. Make your images clickable with your affiliate links (perhaps do this once your site is ranking on the first page of Google)

2. I would also make your background of the camera have a bit more opacity. This way, your content is more of the focal point vs. your background image.

3. Reduce the width of your site. Currently it sits at 940px, I would reduce it to 760px. You'll see when you do this your content becomes much easier on the eyes to read - the only thing to note, is you may also need to reduce your header image to accommodate the new width if you go down this path.

Aside from that, great work. Keep it going!

Hi Leo
thanks for your advices! I would ask you few clarifications about your observations.
#1 - I guess you mean linking the camera images; are they going to be too many same links in the same page (Amazon banner are already in place)? Also, what's the reason to create these links only "once the site is ranking on the first page of Google"? Should I behave the same way in regards of Amazon banners too?
#3 - I choosed to have it 940 wide because I thought I could use a bigger font size and therefore make it easier to read; you are saying it's going to work better the other way round?
About the header, I was decided to remove it to make 1) more content readable at first sight and thus 2) to have the first banner before the fold without placing it just after two or three lines of text.
Problem is for me about how to remove the banner; theme support hasn't given me any response on this yet. Do you have any hint on this?

@Naiht

1. The reason I would include affiliate links once you're ranking on page 1 is so you are not diluting your link juice. That being said, you can still have them prior to being on page 1 as you may start to rank for other long tail keywords. Ultimately, you'll need to gage as to what will work best in your situation. What *I* would do, is wait till I see my site higher in the ranks at the very least.

You can leave your banners as they are, just make sure it look natural and don't have too many outbound links at first - a few here and there will work just fine.

3. I think your font size is good, I would only worry about the width. Then again, if you find this too cumbersome, then leave it as is - best to focus on your content anyway at first.

Re removing the header, unless the theme provides the option from within the dashboard, under the 'Appearance' section, then it would mean you would need to get into the code and remove it from within there. If you go down this route, I see that the header is wrapped within "custom-header" div - you would need to remove everything within it.

Hope it helps.

Thanks again, very useful advices; if you look at my site you'll see I removed the header, as for banners I'm not sure I did understand your explanation about having them placed later. However since I'm about to start a ppc campaign on this site, I need to have banners in place since the beginning.

Looks great to me, you seem to have good content which we are told content is king, you should do well.

Hi Gud
Yes, it's definitely true, content must be king.
My main (and only at the moment) activity is that of photographer, so I thought it's was better to start in the IM with something I can talk about with knowledge of the facts rather than chasing the latest new trend.

Visually stunning. Love the background. I'm not a camera guy so the text is pretty much gibberish to me, but it is a very professional site.

I don't know if you can set up a live Amazon feed that would list the price - I would kinda like that. But, leaving it a mystery may also be a good strategy. People may click thru to find the price and buy something else even if they don't want the camera.

Hi Scott
thanks for your appreciation!
"I don't know if you can set up a live Amazon feed that would list the price"; this sounds pretty interesting but it's beyond my actual IM knowledge. Can you tell me more on it?
