Finally, it happened! Mobile and tablet internet usage exceeds desktop for first time worldwide

In October 2016 the Internet usage by mobile and tablet devices exceeded desktop around the world for the first time ever. There findings were compiled by an independent web analytics company StatCounter.

Have a look at these rounded graph elements.

The following image, however, shows how dramatic the shift has been over the last seven years:

It's not that difficult to imagine how the future will look like, isn't it? So the question I'm asking you now is:
  • Are your sites mobile friendly?
  • Do you know how to leverage on this trend?

If you don't, you better do it quickly.

Things will change rapidly in the future. I sense we won't be using our mobile devices the way we know now very soon.

For sure.

The most popular sites are rarely accessed on Desktop Eg Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc

My Amazon sites are all around 70% Desktop. Whereas my travel sites are around 50 / 50

Basically, everything is switching mobile.

This is great to know, Mudre. Certainly something we should all be taking note of.

Hey, useful information again. Thanks :)

Do you know where I actually can find a great resource that teaches how to set up your WordPress for a perfect mobile speed on Google speed test?
