Amazon Affiliates. I had a LONG chat with them today!

I was wondering about how this amazon affiliate is working, since our little school have had an account there for some years. I know my family have used it a lot. I also know about others, but still the payout is LOW. Usually less then $100 each year...
Since the former school dad that made our original account is not bothering to answer our questions about this account I made a new one. We did some Christmas shopping through the link and nothing showed up in the reports.
So I chatted with them today...for a long time! and got some answers...

1. stuff already in the cart when you click a link doesn't count! this was BAD news for me! so empty the cart... click the "magic" link... then add stuff to the cart and buy it...
2. one thing I DID buy was coming up as $0.00 in reward... because they knew I had been logged in as an affiliate... again...bad news... if the most active amazon shopper mom at school that also happen to administrate the schools website, Facebook, affiliate stuff, blog...and so on...is not allowed to shop and let the school get a reward... BAD news... I will possibly make a new amazon account for shopping so that they don't know I'm the same person...I have my own domain...several actually, so I can produce as many unique email addresses I just want to.. so this will be fixed..
They will easily see if you use your own links! just be aware! :-) I will be very strickt on what accounts I use for what from now on...
So... I need to make a manual that simple and easy explain this to the other parents... so that we actually get the money we should when someone shop. It was dissapointing to find out we lost quite some money from one of the orders that was placed "in the wrong way" according to amazon affiliate... the link was clicked with stuff already in the cart, and NOTHING shows up in the report... not even that we was given $0.00 for the order.
Are anyone else representing a school, non-profit or charity of some kind here? I am going to work HARD to get the schools scholarship account filled up so we can help more families in our quite poor community!
