5:33 AM JOB Embarkment
So it's 5:33am and I am preparing for a JOB embarkment. Actually I have been up since 2:30am because I was suppose to be in my 6:00am and my waking up early is a tough task. Well at 4:00am, my boss texts me to come in at 8am instead. Sure, why not, ive been up waiting to just not be late to 6am, what's another 2 hours?
2 HOURS
2 Hours is everything. 2 Hours means I won't get home for another 2 hours later today. My shift is 9 hours plus 2 hours of driving a day if I don't hit traffic for an hour. This is what a JOB expects and if I disagree, they would probably just find a way to replace me or force me to quit, because that is reality of a JOB if you don't cooperate with them.
I have been searching for a JOB with more pay to live comfortably. I think this is the wrong avenue. I took this job from my last in hopes of advancement. This job started at a lower hourly rate. Dumb of me, yes! I have a family which is the main course of still getting out of bed to go to this job. Luckily my wife works, because I got to say, I have been so close to pulling the "I QUIT" lever. I figure if I quit and live simply, I could dedicate much more time to the WA venture and my site which will bring moneymaking in what I am enjoying and believe in so much easier.
Im still not convinced my wife is fully behind me on this venture. Although I understand, because I have been talking about businesses since we got married. So Im sure she is just wanted to be shown now. I haven't quite figured out how to explain this business and what I am doing, so she looks at me like I am crazy. So does everyone else I tall about it. Good thing is I got 8 likes on my facebook page as I was gauging my facebook friends and family on their support of the idea. Some skeptics there.
Im usually a good judge of things and beleive in WA fully and intend to see this through to the ultimate success! It already has gotten me to think differently most of the time. Im finding when I come across negativity and poor moods it gets difficult so I am thinking of a solution there.
With WA, I think it calls for some changes in my life to make sure I am in the proper moods at all time. May call for some current lifestyle changes. I beleive I am willing at this time to take those sacrifices and changes and place them in a positive energy.
So as I sit here, I think, Will it be easier to quit and go full time now, or go part time at the JOB? I think the part time route is more logical if I get a part time gig close to home, not driving an hour away? These things are what I currently battle with.
HMMM!

First - let me congratulate you. You took that extra time that you were awake to be productive and write this blog :)
Agreed. Very tough decision indeed. I'm right there with you, except my full time JOB is 15 min. from my house. I think a lot of people are in this same boat.
In my opinion, I would definitely try to cut down on the drive time. See if you can find something part or full time in your local area.
At least if you go part time you have that "safety net" in the meantime for your family until your online business is booming :)
I also agree with Papi try to include your family and try to keep everything positive. Just remember when they see you happy, positive and upbeat they will be the same. Good luck to whatever endeavors you choose.

If there is sufficient income coming in,and your going to part time won't affect this then ok.
You mentioned your wife Wasn't fully behind you. Perhaps include her in on a little more of the decisions,effort,time,and the desire you have and that this is for her and your family :)
I fell into the error of not including my wife enough. I corrected this.
Let your children know also.

Don't quit your job till you can find another one closer to home and make that full time you got to pay the bills, sorry facts of life. If wifey doesn't understand now she will resent you and WA if you quit your job or go part time. It will take time and money to grow your business. In the mean time try to involve her as much as you can in your WA activities. If she still seems distant your on thin ice, she may support you but doesn't really understand/believe in what you are doing. Sometimes we barely understand/believe in what we are doing ourselves. Times are hard and you are stuck between a wife/rock and a hard place/job. Make your wife your rock and the hard place your job. Don't make matters worse by burning your bridges before you have a another bridge to use. I'm not just spouting off here this is experience talking. Buck up and do what you have to do.
