What Is Perception?
Quote of the day
"There is no fixed physical reality, no single perception of the world, just numerous ways of interpreting world views as dictated by one's nervous system and the specific environment of our planetary existence"
Deepak Chopra
From many years in corporate america front line and management teams. I was taught and trained to view perception as everything. My executives used to always admit that someone's perception of you is right and how you advance in the company. And to me it displayed that they wasn't interested in the real person, yet they focused on what image you can betray for company advancement(s). Everyone wore the masks and many has several masks.
I fought with this mind set for many years, for which it dug into my personal integrity by allowing someone else controls the way that I think and/or act. I've seen people with not so good personalities, attitude. Lack of knowledge and skills get promoted throughout a company just because they fit the positions perceptions.
What is Perception?
- Perception is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses.
- State of being or process of becoming aware of something through the senses
- A way of regarding, understanding or interpreting something; a mental impression.
As you see here. Perception is mental sensory skill through a personal evaluation of a person, place, situation or thing. To the point, one has to have a level of ESP (extrasensory perception), also called 6th sense, when making decisions.
Is Someone's Perception Right or Wrong?
Perception is neither right nor wrong. Actors and Actress play on viewers perception in every movie they act in. It's one's opinion and/or views about a situation, person, place or thing. Perception is also used in the courts of law on a daily basis and determines a persons fate in the judicial system. Sometimes the perception is right on point and other time it can be incorrect. I can say one good thing that helps tremendously to assist with perception in the courts of law is DNA research. DNA researches in certain cases can help eliminate an individual false perception of a matter(s).
Conclusion
Perception is a skill and one has to collect facts to assist with making an appropriate and justified decision from a personal perception perspective. Your life should not be guided or ruled by anyone's perception other than your own. It's ok to gain someone's opinion or perspective of a situation, person, place or thing. Yet, ensure to always have your own understanding through cognitive thinking to drive a constructive personal perception(s).
You are the captain of your vessel (self). It's ok to look at the signs and listen to people thoughts, but ensure to avoid disregarding your own perceptions. Your personal intergrity depends on it.
Have a Wonderful day!

This is a great post. Two people can be looking at the exact same thing, and have a completely different perception. This is often times the result of circumstance, or in a great deal of cases, we become influenced and preconditioned to think a certain way about our surroundings.
