Ways To Humanise ChatGPT
Ways to Humanise ChatGPT
Use Humaniser Tools
- Online AI humaniser tools such as Writesonic, Humanise AI, QuillBot, and others can automatically rephrase ChatGPT-generated text to sound more natural and human-like.
- These tools adjust sentence structure, vocabulary, and tone, often allowing you to select different styles (formal, informal, flowing, etc.).
- After using a humaniser, always review the output for accuracy and context, as automated tools can sometimes alter meaning or remove important keywords.
Prompt Engineering Techniques
- Craft prompts that instruct ChatGPT to write in a conversational, natural tone. For example: “Write like a human. Keep it professional but conversational. Be clear, direct, and natural, as if writing to a smart friend”.
- Avoid overly formal or robotic phrasing; use clear, accessible language and varied sentence structures.
- Include specific instructions in ChatGPT’s custom settings (e.g., under personalisation or custom instructions) to consistently guide its style.
Edit and Refine Manually
- After generating text, manually edit for:
- Natural flow and readability
- Emotional resonance and relatability
- Removal of repetitive phrases and “AI-sounding” words (e.g., avoid words like “delve,” “synergy,” “empower,” etc.)
- Use contractions, idioms, and colloquial expressions where appropriate
- Incorporate expert insights, anecdotes, or statistics to add authenticity and depth.
Iterative Feedback
- Generate multiple versions of the text and compare them to select the most engaging and authentic-sounding one.
- Share drafts with others for feedback and make final adjustments based on their suggestions.
Best Practices Summary
- Start with clear, well-structured content before humanising.
- Focus on making the text smooth, engaging, and easy to follow.
- Blend AI efficiency with human nuance by combining tool-based and manual approaches.
Example Humanising Prompt
"Please write this as if you're an experienced professional sharing advice with a friend. Use clear, direct language, avoid jargon, and make the tone warm and conversational.
Key Takeaway
Humanising ChatGPT involves a blend of using specialised tools, careful prompt engineering, manual editing, and iterative feedback to ensure the final output is natural, relatable, and engaging, closely matching how a real person would communicate.

I have found with ChatGPT that the way you talk to it is the way it responds to you. Exactly the same with writing content.
For instance, I started by writing a blog and giving it to Chat to edit. I then re-edited it before posting. I did this with Chat for all content I created, such as blogs, coaching material and ebooks.
Now Chat understands my style and is able to produce content that sounds like me. I recently asked my husband to listen to the text for a podcast. He thought it was perfect and was surprised when I told him Chat had written it. No editing from me. 100% ChatGPT.
I've been working with Chat since it launched in 2022, so I've had a lot of practice training it. But if you take your time to teach it, it will deliver exactly what you want.
That’s such a great way to use ChatGPT. You’re right , the way you talk to it really does shape how it talks back. It learns from you, especially when you use it often and guide it with your own writing
When I have AI write an Article or blog I read the text 4 times. The first time is to read it to see if it flows and has everything I wanted in it and is informationally correct. The second time I read it for like I am talking to my friend or I am lecturing, whichever I am wanting it to be, and for punctuation and grammar. Third time is for adding any special additions in the text like links, bolding, underlines, etc. and Last Time for one last check.. I know that is a lot of work. I am thinking about combining a couple of those readings.
That’s a really smart way to do it! Reading your writing a few times to check flow, accuracy, tone, and formatting helps catch a lot of mistakes. I know it can feel like a lot of work, but it makes the writing better. Thanks for sharing how you do it; it’s great to learn from others.
How long does it usually take you from first draft to final version?
Depending on the length of the post or article it can take up to 2 hours per if it is a 9 section article or post. That can be excessive but I try to ensure accuracy and like I want it. It represents me. I am signing my name to it. I am putting it out to others not to mention out to the world.
Agree! Spending time to make sure your post is accurate and sounds like you is really important. Since you’re sharing it with others and the world, it should be your best work. It’s better to take your time and do it right than to rush and make mistakes.
