This is one of my good customers named Al. Al had a SEARS serviceman come look at his dryer and the serviceman told him to get his dryer vent cleaned. So Al called me, and I immediately went over to get his dryer working again. The new dryers have a sensor that turns off the dryer in 3 minutes, if the dryer vent is clogged with lint. This dryer sensor prevents house fires. There are approximately 17,000 house fires a year from dryer vents being clogged with lint. A clogged dryer vent: can burn out the dryer motor, overheat the motor, which can ignite the lint and vinyl floor, that is usually under a dryer.

Al and I talked about him being a Veteran of War. I told him my father was a Vietnam Veteran too, and had shell shock and got sprayed with Agent Orange. Al said he did not like to talk about the war much, but he did say he once remembered going to eat in a restaurant in Oklahoma and not being served because the other army buddies he was with, were Spanish and many restarant owners in 1966 did not like Vietnam Veterans for one resaon or another. He talked about UNITY. If one army veteran member did not get served at a restarant, no veteran would eat in that restaurant. They all walked out and found a restaurant that accepted Spanish people and he said they had a great time eating in another restaurant.
