Decisions, Choices, and Focus: Re-choosing my niche

Over the last few weeks I’ve been struggling with where to put my focus. Intending to spend time on several different projects at once, even devoting specific amounts of time to each. I’m starting to hear loud and clear some valuable advice I’ve been given before… “Do one thing very well, instead of many things halfheartedly.”

So, how am I going to decide on where to put greater focus?

I made some pro vs. con lists.

I’ve asked some questions to mentors and partners.

I’ve done some more research on each project.

I’ve tried to determine what could be the most profitable to me, once I’ve defined what I consider profitability.

Then I went back to the start, again.

Q?: What do I love the most?

A: Exploring creativity and teaching.

Q?: Which of my many projects will most allow me to develop these loves?

A: My “Creativity” website here on WA and the new school I’m currently developing with some partners. (I also, believe I may create a new website about the process of new schools or education, here on WA)

Q?: Why do I believe I’m most passionate about these projects?

A: I’ve been joyfully exploring methods and materials for making art for over 40 years now, and I recently accepted that I’m seen as something of an expert in certain circles. I have always loved sharing what I’ve learned & discovered with others. It’s what motivated me to study to be a teacher and has continued my fascination with educational methods, both inside and outside the classroom. My partners in the venture of creating the new school are motivated by my passion and trust my abilities and knowledge.

Q?: How unique is the niche I want to focus on, and how many other sites cover my other niches (here on WA)? Which niches can go on the back burner for future development?

A1: Many in the community cover “success” & “Health”from a multitude of perspectives, so I’m comfortable to push http://success.siterubix.com & http://wellnesscure.siterubix.com to the bottom of my priority list.

A2: Book reviewing seems like a great way to get affiliate status with Amazon, but I already blog the occasional reviews on linkedIn, so I’ll have ideas for content when I’m ready to launch http://yougottareadthis.siterubix.com

A3: There are tons of websites already devoted to selling art, so I want to think more on what my USP (unique selling point) will be for http://howtosellyourarttoday.siterubix.com

In Conclusion:

I’ve decided to do what I think will make me happiest, draw from me the best content, and contribute the most to growing my following and business.

So, please stay tuned to more posts on “How To Explore Your Creativity?” @ http://creativity.siterubix.com, where I will be focusing for present.

I’ll be developing the new site for the new school, once I feel the creativity site is running smoothly.

Blessing and success,

M.
