Explain How WA Works

I have been with WA since November of 2013 and I don't really know how I will ever be successful with an online business here at WA. I am a starter as far as computer use and web site building and I'm sure I'm not alone. I haven't completed all the lessons as of yet and I don't know if I ever will. It seems that there is always something added which creates more work other than the lessons. Street articles to me is a waste of time. I don't see where 50 articles at 400 words for each article has anything to do with our web site. If I am wrong please tell me honestly how it works. Does WA have total control over our own web sites along with our google ratings. These are things that I would like an honest opinion on in detail. I do hope some makes a comment.
