My 2nd month as a premium member
As I indicated in my previous post, I count my real stay here in wealthy affiliate since the time I went premium. Going premium was when I decided to be serious about affiliate marketing. As part of the training, I am posting my progress so far. Please give your comments whether I am doing well or not based on your own experiences.
Training Courses
- Completed Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 2 (Building your own traffic-producing website)
- Completed Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 3 (Making money)
- 62% Completion Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 4 (Mastering social media engagement)
I wanted to take the Bootcamp and start promoting wealthy affiliate also but I am afraid if I can do 2 things at the same plus having my regular office job. Honestly speaking I want to get referrals and earn money through WA so that I don't have to worry about my monthly fee here in wealthy affiliate. I think most members do.
Though I am promoting WA by sharing your posts here in WA to my social media accounts, but it is better to write your own review on your own site. Maybe some of you who are my friends or followers in those platforms have seen my shared posts.
Website's Status
From the time I moved my siterubix site to my own domain, my site's traffic has increased gradually. More than 65% of my traffic sources came from organic search which just means that my site's visitors saw my site in search engines. It only proves that the training here about SEO is correct. My site's average visitors are 198 users monthly, 52 users weekly, and 5 users daily. I do not know if this is good or not or within the expected time frame. Please share your experience.
I am little frustrated that I was only able to publish 6 posts since the time I upgraded to premium. Although from the middle of July I tried my best to post even one post a week while taking the training. One of the hardest post to write was the review of 10 products in one post. It is easier to write a review about a single product but I tried a different one as my experiment. So far the article is doing better than most of my single product reviews but what I found most visited are my posts about tips and information only. Maybe readers found these posts more value.

Affiliate Programs
I had joined 4 affiliate programs but I was rejected for one. Amazon has been the best performer and is the one making my sales so far. The other 2 are still new so I am not expecting anything yet from them. My site was rejected by Google adsense. I was confused about the reason since they don't specify. Maybe my site's traffic was not that good yet during my application. Still, not sure if this is the reason since I had no problem about the 3 programs. Have you experienced being rejected by Google adsense? Please share your experiences.
Earnings
I did not make any affiliate commissions in June but made 2 sales in Amazon in July. Still hoping that my sales will increase this August. According to Kyle's training, earnings may start from the 3rd month. He even mentioned he made his first sale after 6 months. Does this mean I am doing well?
Trials and Hurdles
I was surprised one day that my site was plagued with "blocked resources" when I checked in Google Search Console. I asked help from Site Support, the community, but after applying all the suggested measures, still my "blocked resources" had increased from my day to day checking. I was frustrated that all possible measures done were not able to cure my site's disease.
But I did not want to give up that soon. I stripped off my site with all the affiliate banners, sidebar links, including removing my social media plugins just to solve my problem. My site ran for 2 weeks without these. I monitored my site almost daily hoping that the problem would be solved. After 2 weeks, I saw the "blocked resources" declined from 39 affected pages to 10 pages. Though not yet fully removed, but still optimistic that will eventually be resolved.
WA Community Status
Although I am not very particular about my WA status, I think it is better to include in this post. I am not aiming for the Ambassadorship but it is just my nature to share what I know. For the past 2 months my rank went from 160 thousand plus to 450. My friends has already tripled. I already avoided reading all my WA emails to concentrate more on my website.
