A Humongous Whoopsie

In life, we all have forgetful moments. Some worse than others. So a Humongous Whoopsie is in order.

This Past Month

In this past month I made some money to put into my Chime checking account. I logged onto their website using their mobile app. Clicked on the menu button to find out how I was going to deposit the monies I made using this mobile app. And if any of you use Chime, then you know what I'm about to tell you is very true.

In this mobile app, there's a clickable link that tells you to click here to deposit money. (Not in those words exactly, but you get the idea.) Anyway, when you click the link it takes you to a MoneyPak site that asks you to put in a MoneyPak number. So naturally, I assumed I had to buy a MoneyPak refillable card to load the funds into my Chime checking account. So, I bought one.

Come to find out, Chime doesn't accept MoneyPak's method to refill my Chime account! WHAT? No Way I said. Then how come when I clicked the link on the Chime app it takes me straight to the MoneyPak website asking for the card I just purchased payment information?

Falsification

You would think they would've told someone, somewhere in the fine print they don't accept MoneyPak's method of transactions.

But, instead of changing to MoneyPak, I guess they just figured it wouldn't be valuable of enough of money saving for the company to change to MoneyPak. Or at least take it off their website considering it's falsification factors.

What Do We Do Now

So, what do we do now? Let's see, I'm thinking we just bite the bullet and keep using Chime? Or we could file a complaint, but what good's that going to do? I mean here I am, stuck the funds that were suppose to pay not only my WA membership, but also my electric bill which was due at the same time.

I had to order a green dot card which one of the cards MoneyPak uses, wait for the card to be mailed to me with my name on it, simply because the MoneyPak card was nonrefundable. If I wanted a refund, I was going to have to wait for two weeks to receive my money.

This was why I had to let my membership lapse for the last almost two weeks. But, I just made some more money and now my premium membership is reinstated.

The Moral to The Story

If I had only one word I could sum this blog post up with, it would be RESEARCH! Research everything before you purchase something. I mean make sure you have most if not all of facts, opinions or whatever you have to do to find out any information on any product you have too.

I mean let's face it. It's not worth losing your hard work you put into something taking a chance on losing everything. It just isn't worth it! I mean making a Humongous Whoopsie just isn't worth the headache.
