No, I haven't disappeared!
I have been MIA the past week or so. I was suffering from some major online burn-out.
I needed to take a break from the platform, the community, and clear my mind.
When I started this journey about four months ago, I really hit the ground running and took off. By doing that, I also neglected precious family time, and other things in my life that are extremely important to me like my recovery.
I have taken the past week to reconnect with my loved ones, as well as my friends. Yesterday I co-hosted a fabulous Christmas party for about 60 families and their children. It was AWESOME!
During the party, I couldn't believe how many of those people came up to me to ask how the blog was going and how I got started on it. While taking a break, I actually ended up sharing a bit of my story and how I got started in the online world - and that included WA.
Who knows, maybe it will turn in to a referral or two down the road.
The week also included lots of movie nights, PJ day, tree decorating, house cleaning (and 90 loads of laundry), family meals, crafts with the kids and so much more fun. It was such a lovely time to just unplug (for the most part) and be present for my family.
Anyways, the point of this post is to remind myself and everyone else to be very aware of burn out. It can and does happen and it hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. I think most, if not all of us come here because we want to create something of ourselves, we want to start an online business, and we want to be successful.
In order to do that we need to have balance in our lives. This is something that I clearly still struggle with even though I am a planner. I get so caught up with ideas in my head that I let the other important things suffer.
How do you deal with keeping your live balanced? Share any tips below!
Happy to be back - Happy to be refreshed - and Happy to help if you need it!

I understand exactly what you mean. WA is a great place to learn about building a website. But at the time l'm totally burned out. I'm taking a long break. I'm not putting WA before those ones l love ❤️ and cherish. And lately that's what I've been doing. I have to rethink if this is right for me.????? Maybe I jumped the gun and went right to PREMIUM. In my case perhaps I should of stayed at STARTER level
Only you can make that decision. The good thing about this place is that there is no time limit to complete the training, you can go at your own pace. Wishing you much success and that you make the right decision for yourself
Happy to hear that you are back and feel refreshed. We all need a break every now and then. I can’t believe you did 90 loads of laundry!! Wow that’s a lot.
Some things in life are more important than making money and, dare we say it, even WA. Congratulations on your discovery!
If you are ready, we are really happy to have you back.
Yours is an important learning experience for us all. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Glad you're back. I think this is an especially tough time of year. The weather, the holidays, kids with their holiday schedules. Thanks for the reminder that we all need to take time to recharge and renew!
We all need to re-charge the batteries every now and then. I took one day off and felt like a week. Get ready to roll in 2019!

Hi, Montana, when you feel burn- out, that is the evidence you have to change something, getting things in balance is something I struggle myself when starting something, I have a hard time to stop, I remember a year ago, when I started with WA, my husband was telling me, Hello, we are here, don't you see us anymore!!!! and he was right on that point, today, I am trying to work with my website for 6 hours, I have so many other things to do as well.
Well, I am glad you have managed to have a break, enjoy the time with your family, friends.
Have happy holidays!
Jacqueline
Hi Montana
I hear you with this post
We all need to have a balanced life and the addiction of WA can create chaos within our real life if we let it
So glad you stopped and took time out as it is the only way to look at things with fresh eyes
Go well and enjoy all 2019 brings you M

Good for you! I am feeling burned out lately too, and I'm tempted to take a couple of weeks off, at least until after Christmas. I took a couple of months off this summer to work on outdoor stuff and family stuff. When I came back to my websites, there were lots of broken links and youtube videos that stopped working.
I spent a couple of weeks fixing everything. 2 months was evidently too long to spend away from my websites. Balance is something that I think we all struggle with. We don't have a boss that keeps us to certain hours and days. You are the boss :) I am the boss. Enjoy your family time, kids grow up super fast! Mine are in their thirties!

Glad to hear that you had the opportunity to step back for a second and enjoy time with friends and family. The first time I tried WA a couple years back, I burnt myself out trying to work a full time job and then come home and put 3-4 hours in on my website.
Now I am trying to take my time, let the lessons sink in, and then let my brain really absorb the information while I am taking a walk, spending time with family, or going on an adventure. The breaks are needed and necessary to keep moving forward in my opinion.
They are totally needed, I agree!
