Morning Routine Equals Success?
Do you have a morning routine?
I was once told by a friend of mine who is a life coach that "in order to succeed and accomplish your goals, you need to have a morning routine."
I can honestly say that until recently - say the past five or six months, that I never understood what this meant.
My mornings are a time for myself. I don't check my phone right when I wake up (as much as I want too)
- I wake up
- I make a tea
- I sit in silence and meditate
- I check my goal list to see if I can check anything off and monitor my progress
I take at least an hour to myself each and every morning to start my day before everyone in the house gets up and my role as mommy and wife takes over for the morning rush.
Sure, this means that I am dragging myself out of bed early in order to get this alone time.
Sure, I might want to sleep in and hit snooze ten times.
But I don't.
I don't because I need to do these things for me. It gives me some time to reflect on myself, check in with myself, and clear my head for the day ahead.
Only then will I pick up my phone, or turn on my laptop to check in with my business and tend to any pressing matters.
So does having a morning routine really equal success?
I can't say for sure, but I can say that when I feel better about myself, I feel better about my business. I can think clear thoughts, I can get my ideas out and post new posts, I can help out in the community. This can only be done if I take care of ME first.
Wishin you all a fabulous weekend ahead!

That is a perfect morning routine, meditation and clearing your mind is very important. They say that in those silent moments is where the magic happens, your ideas develop and you see them clearly.
A routine is a good thing. I have for years since I am a morning person gotten up, do stretches, Meditate, pray, then breakfast, vitamins, read emails, then get reading to work. Interestingly working at home I believe one should be professional in attire so I sound and feel professional. These days, not a tie and suit, but business casual. If you are used to shorts for your job fine, but for me, I am not doing business if I am dressed like that. Guess old school, but it makes me more productive.
Whatever works routine is key.
Montana,
Nice - and makes so much sense - routines help
people in many ways - children especially keeping
a routine teaches them that when they get older
by having had one they are more apt to follow one
of their own making them more successful individuals :)
Great post thanks for sharing,
Susan
You have a wonderful morning routine, Montana!
I had a wonderful morning routine with meditation and prayer, glass of ginger water, planing the day with setting and prioritizing my day's goals, and later on reading something good and uplifting. This took up to three hours. I got up 5/530am.
Since I live in Hawaii I don't have a good morning routine. And I miss it so so much!
Thank you for reminding and inspiring me, Montana!
Wish you an awesome day!
Aloha, Jenna
Hi Montana,
Thanks for sharing this interesting post. I have always had a morning routine to meditate and plan my day. And I strongly believe that it puts you on the right track to be alert and effective in your daily activities. I did it in the past and I still do it and I really think also that it gets you right on the success path.
Have a great day.
Jules
