What I Learned in April and My Goals for May

Happy May, everyone!
A new month is here, and with it comes a fresh mindset, new opportunities, and a stronger sense of focus.

Last month, I spent a lot of time learning and building consistency. One win I’m really proud of is getting comfortable with Google Search Console and Google Analytics. I’m no longer guessing what’s happening on my website. I can actually look at the numbers, understand what they mean, and make smarter decisions.

I’m still learning, but I feel a lot more confident tracking my progress and reading my analytics.

If you’re just starting out and trying to figure out what’s working on your site, take the time to learn your analytics. It makes a real difference.

I’ve also been using SiteComments to bring in more engagement. It’s been a solid way to get feedback and stay active while growing my website.

What I Worked On

So far, I’ve created 8 blog posts and spent time improving older content too. For each post, I designed 3 Pinterest pins and shared them across social platforms to help drive traffic back to my site.

My focus was on:

• Making posts clearer and more valuable
• Cutting out repetition across my site
• Structuring content so it’s easier to read
• Promoting content more consistently

That cleanup and promotion made my site feel more polished and helped me start building steady traffic.

What I Learned

This month reinforced something simple but powerful. Consistency matters more than anything. Even when progress feels slow, showing up every day adds up.

I also realized that promoting your content is just as important as creating it. Posting alone isn’t enough; you have to get eyes on it.

Goals for May

This month, I’m staying focused and pushing things forward:

• Stay consistent with publishing
• Keep improving SEO and keyword research
• Add more internal links
• Start integrating affiliate links more naturally
• Keep learning and improving daily

• Publish at least 10 high-quality blog posts
• Continue creating Pinterest pins for every post
• Focus more on traffic strategies and promotion
• Focus more on quality over quantity

Mindset for May

May is all about discipline and focus. I’m not waiting to feel motivated. I’m building habits and sticking to them. The results will come with consistent effort.
