Hello everyone,

I just wanted to to take the opportunity to let you all know that I am signing off WA for awhile. I have been in the very unfortunate position of being bullied at work by a new Manager and having the organisation turn its back on me after eight years of service. I mention this because it has resulted in me becoming very ill with mental health issues and severe depression.I need to take time to recover and heal myself.I cannot tell you how wonderful it has been to link up with all of you at WA and I truly look forward to coming back as soon as I can. This situation has been on going in my life for the last 18 months so during that time I have had little energy or ability to proceed on my WA journey which is very disappointing to me. Along with Kyle and Carson and Vincent, you have all been amazing and I thank you for your friendship, support and inspiration every day...I will truly miss it. As I will be now losing my job we have alot of decisions to make such as selling our property fairly quickly as I cannot work at the moment so we cannot afford the mortgage, rehoming all our animals ( 7 horses and four dogs) and re planning our future. It is a frightening time and not one we were expecting. But, I believe there will be a great outcome for us and we will grow from this experience. I am very lucky to have a beautiful, supportive husband and some wonderful friends to help me along the way.

I have done a great deal of research in the last 6 months regarding mental health caused by stress in the work place and I have shared this information with my employer, pointing out both the moral and legal obligations of an employer in regard to health and safety of their employees. Needless to say, this fell on deaf ears but I'm not finished with them yet ! I'm not very strong every day which is a big shock to me as I have always been strong, but I will get there and when I do I will be devoting my time to others who struggle with mental health issues caused by workplace stress. In Australia currently, work place stress is costing the Aussie economy over 10 billion dollars a year in work cover claims, lost efficiencies, absenteeism etc, etc. No doubt this blight on the workplace is as bad across the globe and it needs to be changed. The systems of support are flawed and actually have the affect of making the situation worse for the victim while "enabling" the bullies to continue. If we are ever going to get serious about bullying, whether in the school yard or the work place, then we have to change the way support is provided. The laws in Australia currently are not robust enough in provision of protection, support or solutions.

I'll be back and I look forward to catching up with you all when I have the " fire" back in my belly !!

Love and success to you all

Bye for now!!

Tina ( aka Mollie 1)

Tina, I am so sorry to hear all that you are going through. Being forced to make so many changes all at once because of a horrible employer is dreadful, to say the least. You deserve better than that. I am confident you will find your wings and soar once again.

HUGS to you
Lisa

Tina, My heart goes out to you. Not only are you suffering inside, but your need to move, rehome your animals and make other difficult decisions are adding to your stress.
You will find peace again but I know it takes time.
I wish you all the very best in everything you do.
Lesley

My thoughts are with you. Several members of my family, (including myself) live with mental health issues and I know how difficult it can be. Take good care of yourself :)

Sorry about the challenges you are facing, Tina As I read your message, I could sense that you are indeed a strong person, although it may not feel like it at the moment.

I look to forward to seeing you around in the WA community when you return. All the best and take care. ~Jude (from Sydney).
