I got Accepted by a new Affiliate Program!

I've been browsing around the web in search of affiliate programs. I was already with Amazon but I wanted something different. I wanted to do a review of a product I used and knew well. I was able to find 3 programs and tried to subscribe to each. For the first one, my website was rejected because it's kinda new and didn't generate enough traffic for their liking. I was a bit sad but I expected it.

The second one, it's been more than 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them.

As for the 3rd one, I finally got a reply yesterday and it was a positive one!!! I was overly excited because it's through a company that help expectant mothers to qualify for a free breastpump through their insurance. I love it because it`s not only promoting a product that I tried, it`s also informative and help pregnant women with a service.

I remember not too long ago, I was reading about product life cycle. With this affiliate program, I now feel that I can really put the reader in the center and offer them something I used, loved and can talk about. Furthermore, I can offer them help in acquiring such a device. .

I'm not making tons of money (I hardly make any....) but I believe it's more important to build confidence first with your readers and create followers. Then when they trust you, you can try to sell them things.

I now have to go through the process of understanding how they work and how to do product placement.

I'm really happy with what I have accomplished so far. For sure, I wish I would go faster but all good things come to those who wait.
