I Earned my First Commission Outside of WA

Yes! The title says it all. I was earning a bit of money through the WA affiliate program but my website is not related to online work. I blog about twin parenting. I wanted to have an established and solid website before starting another one related to promoting WA.

For the past 5 months, I have been working part-time on my site and I have written a few reviews of products. In total, I only have written only 11 posts but I have been promoting a lot and mainly through Pinterest but also Facebook and Instagram.

You can imagine my surprise when I was in my colleague's office about an hour ago. She was on the phone and I was browsing through my emails when I saw this:

I whooping $1.50 while I was doing something else, now that's passive income.

As soon as I was back at my desk, I went online to double check that there it was, the same info.

So I guess it must be true!

It gives me a great feeling knowing that someone found my post online, took the time to read it, went to the website and felt confident enough to take out his or her credit card. It's not like selling your kids' boxes of chocolate at work where all your colleagues feel obliged to buy a box. This is real, it's a perfect stranger who bought something I recommended.

This is the perfect time of the year to earn my first commission outside of WA. During the holidays, I will be working a lot more on my website since I'll be on vacation (from work).

Now I guess my lunch is over and I must return to my teaching job, at least for now.
