Can You Read This??
I have come across quite the variety of website styles while doing research for my website. As I would pull a new site up, I realized how difficult some are to read. The size, the font, the script, the contrast....yikes!
Having had lasix in 2001, my distance vision is still great but being over 40 my close up/reading vision is not doing so well.
With the population living longer, there is likely to be at least 1/2 the population that are over 40 with aging eyesight, like me. Most everyone will eventually have trouble focusing on reading materials and computer screens.
Always use a plain font, a larger size (at least a 12), and dark print on a light background for easy to read material for all your potential website readers. The sites I have trouble reading I click the "x" and move on.
Just a friendly reminder, easy to read pages make for more readers....

I agree. Also it just makes the pages more user friendly when you don't have to squint! Good suggestions.

I somehow feel that text that is in a slightly larger font is more friendly and engaging. I have noted that many of the active WA members are in the 40+ age group.
