Excellent, so I have been away for about a week (recovering from an operation), just thought I'd check my sites progress and have discovered that one of my key words has my page ranked at 1!!!!!
That's amazing, now I just need to build up my site and add affiliate links to it to start earning the money!!
I havent managed to master the google webmaster tools yet, finding it hard to concentrate on anything at the moment, but am looking forward to getting my other key words up there and becoming an authority in my niche.
Any hints and tips always welcome..

Very well done! If you can rank #1 for one keyword, you can rank #1 for 1000+ keywords. Keep adding content to the website regularly and you'll find many more keywords that you are #1 ranked for.
Affiliate links are next, and money will quickly follow! When adding your affiliate links try to add them within the content on relevant keywords. Also, if you are recommending a particular product, consider a review page dedicated to that product. People love reading reviews before they purchase.

Thanks for the tips. So when I have put some amazon products into my posts that isn't a good idea? I should just highlight text and use that to put my affiliate links in?
