There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just before reading Matty's farewell post.

I was about to share how I started getting commissions here at WA.

I am sad to hear that Matty didn't make a cent.

What I did as a complete beginner in affiliate marketing. I listened to loads of you tube videos and learned bits and pieces here and there. Always wanting to learn how to get traffic for free.

Then I saw this very long . . . . . . . . Webinnar😴 talking about Google ads.

I was a free member of WA.

I could not spare the $49 a month. Cos that's like, a full on, commitment ! If you pay then stop, you can't come back as a free member 🤨

But I thought I could spare $20 to $40 a month on ads and then, I could stop and start them as I wished.

So I used a mobile phone and during breaks at work. I created a Google ad, using their smart ads. Simply linked straight to WA. I didn't have a website then.

Fairly quickly people began to sign up for the free trial 😃 yay !

Eventually one or two joined when it was still $19 for the first month.

As a free member, I received the princely sum of $4. 😃 yay again. That first $4 felt GOOOD.

Over time others signed up for the free trial. Many have not gone for Premium membership and many are just not active.

I could probably help more, if I had more spare time, but for now I have a full time job and when I'm off, my time is taken up with other stuff and spending time with my wife.

Gradually tho, people continued on and signed up as premium members. So I then received $11.75 I think.

Once I had a few more paying referrals, I also took the plunge and paid my first $49 ! ! ! No going back. Aaargh ! 🤣

Really nice to get $23.50 per referral👍

Sad then when people don't succeed and leave.

Right now I just about have enough commission coming in to pay my subscription and a bit over to pay for the minimum ad spend with Google.

I continue to work my way through the training, when I get time

Boy do I long for the day when I have a passive income enough to work less and give more time to affiliate marketing and other interests.

I keep telling myself:

"you only fail if you give up"

WA is a GREAT and FANTASTIC platform and I want to thank, Firstly, RinaNZ who introduced me to WA. then to all the really, REALLY wonderful people who help and encourage and inspire, myself and others on this site. ❤️
