What Do You Know About Hobbies?
There have been quite a few blogs and questions about what types of things to build websites on. This question often takes the form of frustration. (What should I write about? / I don't know what my Passion is, please help.) I have been thinking that one of the things I can do to help is to grab a quick look at some topics that you can build into a website or added as additional content to the one you are working on right now, so:
What Do You Know About Hobbies? (OR, what can you learn and remember about hobbies, of any type, in a few days and build a website that will help others know more about certain hobbies that they can handle or even make some money doing?)
There are so many hobbies to choose from:
The above pictures may be a little too risque for many people, but others will include
Scrapbooking
Puzzles
Koi Fishes
Gardening
Quilting
Needlepoint (Hey, it is still popular in many circles!)
Woodworking
If you Google 'hobbies list', you will see so many things that people look for in the hobbies field. You have hobbies that you participate in and they can be a help in putting together an authority site.
Amazon has books that help people understand about different hobbies and, of course, they sell all sorts of things that hobbies will consume, from scrapbooking supplies to magnets to adult coloring books!
Clickbank has many digital products, such as Koi Pond management and even training that helps your readers turn some of their hobbies into money, such as arts and crafts projects that can be sold at swap meets or online!
You can find so much about hobbies in many places around the Internet and it could actually be a fun task to do! The various pages of your site would list different types of hobbies and the history of each can be a great way to introduce your visitors to how they came to be.
If this is something that you would like to take on, just take a plunge and get building!
This topic an also be included in just about any website dealing with Home and Family issues, kid's websites and any sites that have to do with health care and home care services. Even camping sites!
I hope this has helped get your hobby juices flowing and wanting to help others enjoy some time at home or when they are not able to get out of the house, especially when they are prepping for the end of the world!

Another excellent post, Mickey you are certainly giving some value and getting folks thinking, we all have hobbies of some sort, it is just the hours in the day that many of us are lacking,
I really like the aspect of looking to Clickbank for some opportunities.
I have too many hobbies... I keep thinking I could write about this or that... maybe I can create a site where I write about all of them?
Well, a full website, thoughtfully balanced could do the trick, but you know many people get overwhelmed by trying to stay up on TOO many things!

It is always nice to take a few minutes and relax with a hobby. How about skydiving? (somebody told me that was relaxing! Me: I don't see it!)

You know, I have no idea......none, except maybe, insanity. I think that's it. I was insane when I was younger, maybe now too, but definitely when I was younger
When I was younger, I used to hang out of helicopters to take photographs of crashed planes. BUT I STAYED on board!
Hobbies open up a whole host of niche possibilities. One of my side-niches is making (and selling) hand-bound leather journals and custom themed albums. It actually integrates nicely with my RV travel niche because I don't need lots of extra space for supplies.

That sounds awesome!! :)..Count me in! :)...I actually used to draw real life portraits of people! Celebrities, and some of the people at my church! I say used to because when I started on some new meds, my hands would shake and it was hard to do, so it's been 5 years since I drew a picture, but thinking of taking up the hobby and challenge again! I also had started a few hobby sites before, and when I switched servers I saved them in a format that I can just upload through ftp for some reason, but next week I'm going to try a different way..was thinking of building sites and flipping them one day..I know in 30 days I get access to ftp throughWA, but either I wait, or try a different way..I'm stubborn and love a challenge, so your idea sounds like something I'm really interested in! One of my websites on my other server for homeschooling is http://www.homeschoolallgrades.com and I have an eating healthy site that I still have a lot of work to do at http://www.everythinghealthonline, and was going to add sub-domains to that one on different health issues, and fitness! My next project I'm working on is a pregnancy and child rearing site in honour of my son and daughter-in-law who are going to have a baby at the end of July! A LOT of projects on the go, and I'm taking schooling...lol..so I'm game for doing some hobby sites as well! I LOVE to stay busy..sorry this is so long winded...lol..we'll chat soon, but good idea :)

Hobbies is a very good niche to consider and one I recommended to my oldest son...he has an incredible artistic ability. I hope this helps a lot of people who are trying to decide on a niche. Take Care!

Thanks Mickey for this great post. One of my hobbies is affiliate marketing. I use it as a niche for one of my sites. Another hobby is history. I don't know how I can use it as a money making niche. Then I have skiing. Maybe I could use it for an ecommerce site. What I'm seriously considering is to open a site about traveling. Everybody who buys through me something I'm promoting participates in a lucky draw, which takes place once a month, and get the chance to win a travel. Needs some investment in the beginning, but I think it could be a winner. What do you think?
Travel is one of the last things on my mind since I can't really even get out of the house, anything that involves a drawing does attract a lot of attention! Just make sure you are TOTALLY above board about it!
History is a great niche for making money selling particular books about it; Just like the one you recommended to me about that French race.
