How to add text underline and justify to your content
If you desire to use the underline feature in your content, you will have to download the free plugin "Re-add text underline and Justify." This plugin re-adds the Editor text underline & justify buttons in the WYSIWYG removed in WordPress 4.7. First, you will need to download the plugin and then install it. Then in dashboard go to "Settings" and select "Writing". You then select "Change Editor Style" select > "Re-add underline and justify buttons". Save changes. You should the see an Underline option on the WYSIWG where you select Bold, Italics etc. The default underline is black. You can change it to whatever color you want with the color pallet. You will first need to block the text you want underlined, then select the Underline (U) option and then whatever color desired. Very easy to do. It works just like the underline feature in Word. Remember black is the default color for underlined text!

Wow, thanks!
I like the idea of a button to underline, although I am not a fan of justified text. I'm off to get that plugin!
As I found out, that plugin doesn't work in my version of
Wordpress. I could look for another, but for an occasional underline I switch to the html window and wrap the text in these tags Text
Are you using the Classic Editor? The plugin should work, I have the latest in Wordpress installed. Clear out your cache in your browser.
Thanks Mick. Its a shame to have to add another plugin though, as they seem to slow sites down.
