New to WA and determined to succeed!

So, here I am; sitting in an empty classroom writing a blog. Hold on, what is a blog? And how did I go from teaching differential calculus to writing said blog? I'm someone who hates the unknown; I avoid risk at ANY cost. 1+1=2 and to have a good life, you've got to work long and hard right? Well now I'm not so sure!

Last week, I didn’t even know what ‘affiliate’ meant and now all I can think about is finding my niche and website SEO.

So, how did someone like me end up here you ask? well, my story is probably similar to yours.

Last Monday, I finished work at 10pm having started at 8 am. All five of my children were tucked up in bed and my dogs still hadn't been walked. George, my youngest had drawn a picture of himself at the piano with the words 'I can play two notes at the same time Mummy' underneath. It was at this point that I burst into tears; work was and is taking up so much of my time and energy that my children are growing up without me. It's a really sad realization and one that hit me like a tonne of bricks. There’s got to be a better way!

Surely there are many of you out there in the same boat; hardworking, motivated and keen to provide a good life for your family. I understand that it takes hard work to succeed but does it have to mean sacrificing so much?

Now, don't get me wrong; I love being a teacher. I'm not desperate for change and I'm not struggling to make ends meet. I do, however want a better life for myself and my family; one which doesn't see me working 14 hour days on a regular basis.

My WA journey only started last week; I'm certainly no expert on websites, online business or really anything at all. I look at some of the success stories and feel that perhaps it's all beyond me; perhaps I'm not smart enough or brave enough or capable enough to do what it takes. But what if I am? What if this is the big break I've been searching for?

We'll there's only one way to find out and I'm going to give it my all.
