20 minutes later.
Yesterday with my mentor training with Christopher Scott, he taught me how to build a referral page for me. It was very simple to do. I was very surprised at the ease of this task. I had not done it because I felt it was going to be time consuming and I was not sure how to be creative enough to make one.
With Chris telling me the steps to take, I found it was a few seconds and one paragraph later. One embedded banner later added with that paragraph and BINGO. it was ready to publish. Chris had to actually reign me in and cut me down from adding TOO MUCH content. Simplify Mike not complicate he kept drilling in my head. I was so determined to confuse things. IT HAD to be harder than this right??
NOPE! It was just that simple. So I published it and then I went to work on yesterday's blog titled "One Hour". Before I finished that blog which only took me 20 minutes to write, I already had my first referral from the website. I was stunned. I had only put it on my Facebook wall and on my Twitter wall too. I had not yet added it to my Instagram or my Linkedin like I had planned to. I wanted to do that blog first .
I realized that I had been building my own sites with affiliate links finally added this last week for 4 weeks but never took the time to build a referral page that took just 20 minutes to get traffic. WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING? Hind site is always 20/20 but DAMN!! I was kicking myself for the rest of the day.
Now I know what to tell others. Make sure you get your referral page started when you start AND then start building your niche site(s) from there. You will be glad that you did it this way. I know I would be happier if I had done it that way. Just some food for thought this Tuesday morning.

for someone that knows nothing yet...this information begins to make some kind of sense to a newbee
That is fantastic, Mike. Sorry for just now commenting. Hospital trips and doctors poking everywhere. I hope you are doing well. Awesome article. You really have a gift for the Michael.
I hope all is well with you Chris. I was under the weather myself yesterday and almost took myself into the UC myself because even a simple head cold with my injuries make for a "fun" experience. I got a lot of "catching up" to do now lol

By 2020 I will be teaching others the ways NOT to do it and the ways to do it correctly the first time. I will tell them the trial and error from my personal experiences in MY training videos that will be on here for others to view. My sites will be self-sufficient and I will enjoy writing daily blogs (like I do now) still then and on the new niches I have decided to conquer in 2020 too :-)

This is the page we built yesterday that took less than 5 minutes.

Nice! You did a great job. So I take it when your referrals click on your affiliate link this is what they will see when they come to WA?
Yes. I was excited (I still am excited that it worked so fast) and it motivated me to do more on my other sites too.
