Backsliding & Getting Back At It
What do we do when we backslide and we need to get back on track?
We all backslide sometimes for various reasons. I got off track these past few weeks because of this new gig I took up helping my father and uncle remodel and paint my cousins house because she is getting it ready to sell it and move into a bigger one. I've also got a fixer upper my self and have been focusing on things at my own house as well recently. I got a bigger fridge, new microwave, some cabinets for my garage, and of course shes paying us for our time.
I was honored to be accepted into Kyle's super affiliate group and feel a bit upset not putting all the hours I said I could weekly into my boot-camp site this month but as far as I can tell these are the only tasks for this month...
**Website framework based on your theme
**Design
**Graphics and imagery
**Content
**Idea development
**Establishing a solid base of content
All stuff I have established already except a header logo image which I created earlier this month before starting the project at my cousin's house. That's all I've accomplished this month apart from just a couple post and developing some ideas in what spare time I do have.
There are a ton of excuses we can make but the key is to get back at it.
If you have not been carrying yourself at the level you know you need to then you have been backsliding but today is a brand new day!
Step one: Realize you have backslid and forgive youself. Dont look backwards, only look forwards.
Step two: Recommit to it. Get back to it. Get focused in on just doing it. Whatever it is, learning a new skill, complete some training, developing our website, we just have to make the decision to get back on the horse.
Step three: Create accountability. Accountability is what keeps me moving. Here are a few ways I create accountability..
- Make a consistency count: Keep track of the things you are working on. Have some minimum bottom line objectives you can easily meet every day and see how many days you can go by keeping track in a journal or app. If you do it you have to reset your count back to zero. I havent been able to do my normal consitent activities so now im back to zero.
- Make posts here or on facebook: This works well because you are publicy putting out what you are going to be doing.
- Get an accountability partner or coach: Somebody who is going to check in with you to make sure you are doing what you need to be doing.
Weather its working out, eating right, or building our niche sites we need to build consistence because consitency builds momentum. Just doing somthing every day will create a big difference in our lives.

I think Step 1 is really important...forgive ourselves! At least the super affiliate program is keeping you accountable. Your back on track.

That's a super tough program with a lot of demands. Yup, you just have to keep chipping away at it. I have confidence in you.
One thing I like about WA is that there is almost at least one person in the community that is experiencing similar challenges.
My reasons for backsliding are incredibly similar to yours. Luckily, I'm hoping that the things that have caused me to backslide can be used as topics/inspiration for both of my websites.
You might want to click the link that Kyle shared with us for this months Super Affiliate training email. It takes you to a lesson with more details - to include the target number of posts to write.. Lets just say that I'm needing to try to post 2 or 3 articles per day for the next 4 days. Mine will be shorter than recommended but I'm trying to get into routine....
Best wishes....
P.s. WA can teach people like us how to build websites to market our properties or other services related to fixing up properties.... So maybe you too can use your activities as blog material....
