Constructive criticism.crucial to blog success
I submitted my niche site on a related forum and got a lengthly response from someone who really bought up some key points that I hadn't thought about in terms of my menu and it's navigation. Some of his comments did not phase me as there were other things going on with the site he had no knowledge of. But some of his insights stung like a scorpion bite.
These were eyes outside of WA and his honest objective opinion immediately had me going back to do some major editing of my site.
I am finding as much as it hurts to be "criticized" the benefits are far outweighing the initial pain.
Encouraging all WA members to be nicely, but brutally honest when doing your critiques. Conversely if you are open to hearing good feedback it will only improve your site.
Have a great day. :-)

"Constructive criticism" is the key here. As you say, I would rather have someone be honest so I can fix what's not working, than to be passive and have the problems remain.
Great post, Melody.

Hi Melody,
I'm sure that person had only good intentions and knows you are intelligent and gracious enough to recognize that. Thanks for sharing your honest feelings. : )
I find it hard to be critical of anyone, but if it will help them in some small or even big way it's worth doing. Constructive criticism has always helped me and yes, it didn't always make me feel good either. It's also one of the hardest things to do as a parent.
To your success!
