Second Month......and Counting
Okay. So it's a little over my second month here at WA (It will be my third in two weeks). Everything's been going good so far. My website has been coming along. I recently added a few more pages and posts. However, my niche is a bit challenging. There are so many big employment websites with great rankings that I'm not sure if I can compete with them. Let me elaborate when I say the word "employment." Basically, my website gives readers advice on how they can look for employment in tough economic times. There's a few things I'm having difficulty with. First, I'm not exactly sure why my traffic has dropped. I went from a total of 1,166 visitors to 697 total visitors. Granted, it's the beginning of October, so I probably shouldn't worry about it. But I would like to know how I can improve on this.
Second, There aren't many affiliate products that I've seen that relate to the employment niche. All I've seen so far is resume writing services or resume submission services. I know that many individuals don't have the time to write a resume, but in this economy, where every penny counts, who would want to pay for someone to write it for them? And who would want to pay to have their resume submitted to different job boards? The bottom line is that I think people are discouraged with the job system in general and they are worried that if they spend money for these services, there won't be much of a return on their investment. I'm extremely determined to make this work. I'm just trying to figure out how.

you could also add a job search widget on your site, I know I saw one a while ago which pulls in job searches from all different sites. with that widget you can also get local businesses (or national) to pay to advertise their jobs on here, plus the advertising space. Don't know if that will help but I remember looking at that a few months ago but that particular company didn't cover the UK as yet.
