My First Youtube Channel Was Born Today!
I finally did it! A few minutes ago, I finally created my very first Youtube Channel! After 3 years of dreaming about it, it finally happened!
And you know what? It only took a few minutes. It was SUPER easy!!
Ok, I still have no videos, no subscribers... but this is the first step... and you know me! I believe in celebrating everything! Even small steps! :-)
How about you? Do you already have a Youtube Channel? And if not, are you planning to start one soon?
Have a beautiful day everyone!
To our Success,
Nathalie
P.S. Update: I shot my first video after writing this blog post, learned my first 2 lessons from the experience and wrote another WA blog post about it. It's called "Making Videos for my Youtube Channel: First Lesson Learned :-)" I am waiting until tomorrow to publish it... :-) Stay Tuned!
P.S. Update 2: Some of you have asked me for the address of my Youtube channel... here it is, with a nice Pretty Link: https://nathalieu.com/youtube .

I have 3 YouTube channels up!
I won't tell you what they are (I'm shy, lol)
But that is not the point!
I am SO Proud of you!
It takes some guts to put yourself out there!
Most people will NOT do it!
But you have!
That already puts you in the top 90% of folks doing what we do!
The rest is up to you (and I suspect you'll do well!)!
Excellent my friend, link to your first video here, and I'll watch it and leave a positive comment for you!
Aww! Thank you so much, Caleb!! :-) That is super kind and supportive of you!
I had to do a lot of work on myself to clear my fear to be seen and heard, to tell you the truth! But I finally did something about this that worked and I'm definitely on my way even more than before now. :-)
Have a beautiful day!
Nathalie
Nope, not done, not considered, nope, nope, nope! LOL I'll watch you Nathalie...it will be fun!!
Happy ๐โฃ๐ Day!!
Aww! Thank you so much, Liz*! I would love for you to watch my videos when they are out there! :-)
Happy ๐โฃ๐ Day to you too!!
Nathalie

Thanks a lot, Gabriel! I have seen the name "Tube Buddy" in answers to a question about Youtube Creator Academy a few days ago? Is this it? If not, if you know of another one, I shall PM you. :-) Thanks!
Blessings,
Nathalie
Hi Gabriel.
Sounds fab. I'm in! *Especially* as you said the magic word,"free".
;=)
PM to follow directlyโand thanks for stepping up and sharing. ๐
Regards,
Tayo
PS Are you a YouTube expert? Sounds like it.
Nathalie,
It is a different software program.
I am not familiar with Tube Buddy.
As a general disclaimer, I do not promote any programs or services here, rather trying to help out fellow WA members in any way I can.
Blessings!
Tayo,
I will respond to the PM.
I am NOT a YouTube expert however I have created and uploaded videos to our ministry's YouTube channel.
Last night I have actually created a videogram Valentine's Day card for my wife. I was amazed at the outcome.
It always has to start somehow, somewhere and we can at least try and learn along the way.
Blessings!
Please PM me.
Just another general disclaimer, I am not promoting anything but simply trying to help out fellow WA members.
Blessings!
Hi there. No, Tube Buddy is not a video creation software but a plugin that integrates with Google Chrome that gives you statistics on your videos and the videos of your competition. You can e.g. see how many likes your video received on social media platforms like Facebook, how many views your video gets per minute, per hour etc. It also shows you what you need to do in order to improve the SEO of your videos in order to rank it better in Youtube and in Google etc.
I have several Youtube channels and also just started a new one for a new business venture of mine. You are welcome to have a look if interested. You will find it on the right bottom side of my profile underneath all my blog articles listed. However there are just one video for my new channel featured there.
If you have any questions in regards to video creation software etc. then feel free to ask.
Ps. Also you do not have to show your face if you are shy, although it might help you connect better with your audience and build more trust. Many of my videos are screen record videos where you are not required to show your face, but simply have your voice recorded.
Congratulations on taking the first step in the direction of video creation. Wishing you all the best here on WA!
Kind regards
Schalk Zeeman
Hi Gabriel.
Thank you for the PM.
By the way, it's an excellent link. I've downloaded, installed and even tried the software, all within a few minutes.
It looks *great*! ๐๐
Again, thank you.
:=)
Regards,
Tayo
Hello Schalk,
Thank you so much for your kind words and all this information! This is SUPER helpful!! And greatly appreciated!
Yes, I am going to have a look at your latest Youtube channel.
I have recently healed my camera-shyness so it's fine for me to show my face now. :-) At the same time, I am VERY interested in also doing screen record videos. What do you use for that?
And since you said that I could ask, which video creation software do you use? And why this one if I may ask?
Thank you so much in advance for your answer. :-)
Kind regards,
Nathalie
Absolutely, Gabriel!! I love the way you put it! "It always has to start somehow, somewhere and we can at least try and learn along the way."
I remember once someone who was VERY successful said something like this (I don't remember the exact words): "If you are not "ashamed" of your first website/video/book... when you look back, that means you waited too long to start."
As a person with generally very high standards, this really hit home and I started being more lighthearted about what I was doing... learning along the way... :-) Things don't need to be perfect... they need to be done!
It's about finding the right balance so the quality is still good enough for our own personal "pride" and our audience's standards.
Blessings,
Nathalie
Wow! Amazing!! I look forward to testing it too!
Thank you for your feedback, Tayo!
Regards,
Nathalie
Hi Nathalie, you are welcome! Well I used to use Camtasia Studio 8 back in the day (not sure if they have upgraded it since to Camtasia Studio 9) but that was when I was a PC user. I have now changed to Mac and I do not think that Camtasia Studio is supported on Mac or at least I don't think that was the case at the time when I was using it.
I have now tried out Final Cut Pro X but simply signed up for the trial version. The video I created for my new Youtube Channel I just created you can see on the right hand side of my profile as I mentioned earlier and was created using Final Cut Pro X. However I am brand new to Final Cut Pro X so that was just a little test run.
Another very good video creation software is called Sony Vegas Pro.
The video creation tools I am mentioning here are all very expensive video creation tools but some of the best out there I believe.
Well simple screen record video tools will in most cases only allow you to do an actual screen record but not allow you to place layered text and other layered images or video effects inside your screen record video. So this is what makes these video creation tools so great, as you can easily brand your videos and then add for example a intro video clip and an outro video clip very easily to your screen record and then render everything as a whole.
Seriously there are so much capability in these creation tools that you can potentially put hours of study into it and then still not have mastered everything you can do with it. I keep it pretty simple though.
For quick video creation I used to use Video Maker FX which is pretty cool and a much cheaper video creation tool.
You can also read a blog article of mine on video creation on the bottom right of my profile again should you wish as you might find it quite interesting and helpful to understand the power of video creation a little bit better.
Saying that, I am on the same road than you are and have so much still to learn about video creation.
Wishing you all the best here on WA!
Kind regards
Schalk Zeeman
Ps. Depending on your video creation goals for now you might not need any expensive video creation tools right now. If you want more help on cheaper solutions that will still do the trick then please ask again and I will be happy to provide these alternatives.
Oh and I forgot to say, do not forget about the power of the mobile device these days. I have seen some amazing videos being created with it and the ability to e.g. do a Facebook Live video and download it and upload it to Youtube is pretty amazing.
Wow! Thanks a zillion for all this information, Schalk! This is super helpful indeed!
It's funny... I actually learned to use Final Cut Pro back in 2001 when I studied video documentary production at NYU. I remember that it was a lot of fun! Needless to say I have forgotten everything by now! But I still remember the concepts behind video editing and storytelling.
For now, I am planning to keep things super simple and learn a little more as I go, with each new video. I am aiming for content quality more than design. And at the same time, it would be nice to improve the design step by step.
I would be very interested in free options for video editing at this point as my budget has already been allocated for other costs.
What about the Editor program within Youtube studio? Isn't that enough?
Thanks!!
Nathalie
Interesting... I remember that some teenagers showed me a phone app to edit videos a few months ago and I was amazed at what they could do with it!!
Congrats, Nathalie! Hooray for you!
Not yet, as still camera shy. Lol. Will consider, moving forward :o)
Thanks a lot, Terand! :-)
I totally understand! I was camera shy too! Big time! I did a lot of work on myself to clear the deep-rooted reasons why that was. A lot of us have learned from childhood that we should not been seen or heard too much... I cleared the fear to be seen through a free meditation + eft/tapping that was part of a training I was promoting in January. And it totally worked!!
There is a very simple visualisation that can be done to see if this is coming from childhood, and to clear it. I guess I should do a WA training about this one day for those who are interested. :-)
Nathalie
Yes, we always have the fear. Our โbeliefโ was formed due to our childhood education and upbringing.
Now we are building another โthickerโ layer to cover it, totally!
All the best to all! ๐ช๐ช๐ช
Well, the point is that the "thicker" layer to cover our fears only goes so far... at some point, something happens to stop us... a disease, an accident, a difficult situation in our life...
The best is to totally heal, clear and release the source of the fear. And then everything flows... It is actually pretty easy... :-)
All the best to you too!
Nathalie
Anxiously awaiting the first video. Know you will do a great job with YouTube as you are doing with the written version of MegaWelathy9.
Happy Valentineโs Day by the way.
Barry
Many congrats Nathalie! Well done. Wish I was that far, but still have a loooong way to go before I get there!
Thanks a lot, Arie! :-) You shall get there whenever it is right for you! :-)
Have a beautiful day,
Nathalie

I have had a YouTube channel for about a year. Never have I used it, thinking about it of late ever since I joined WA. A blog to a Vlog a natural progression. All the best with your future channel.
Kind regards Shane.
You should use it
Thanks a lot, Shane! :-) I am sure you will use it when you are ready!
And as I was telling Hudson (above) there could be some hidden reasons you have not used your Youtube channel yet.
I am thinking of offering a training here on WA to allow people to find out what could be blocking them in this type of situation. :-)
Stay tuned!
Nathalie
You're right, Nadishia! I'm sure he will when he is ready. :-)
