Reading another Great Book so far.

I've just got done reading a few Chapters and I have to say that this book is really good actually
So it talks about a word called adherence a word that means creating a Strategy and sticking to that Strategy.
It talks about how we achieve adherence. It says based on the experiances of high achieving individuals and teams, there are three components of Adherence: Focus, Competence, and Passion. The relationship between these three components is best shown in a formula
Focus x Competence x Passion = Adherence
When you think about it this way the role becomes much clearer. On a scale from 0-10 you can't have one missing
Focus being 10
Compentence being 10
and Passion being 0
or in these numbers switched around
(10 x 10 x 0) = 0
As you build on each of these over time the required effort becomes less because they then become a habit.
It also says that a mediocre strategy with strong adherence will produce way better results than a brilliant strategy with minimal adherence
Strategy + (Focus x competence x passion) = achievement level
This shows that your strategy only has an additive impact to your achievement level where adherence adds exponential impact to your achievement level.
Example of High Strategy low adherence 10 +(2x4x6) = 58 (See equation up there)
Example of Low Stategy higher adherence 3 + (3x5x7) = 108
This example shows that if you higher each area of Adherence by a mere 1 each with a not so great of strategy your still going to be 50 points higher on the Achievement level Scale.
I've already got my $'s worth and haven't even made it half way through the book.
