Slapped by Google

Nice.  This morning I got up and tried to log in to my article site.  It doesn't even show up in Google anymore.  I see, so when you start making a revenue from adsense, they bury your site, right?  I was getting a huge amount of traffic (I thought) - 66,0000 visitors this month.  I have over 12,000 articles posted now and over 3,000 authors.  Until this morning, I was making over $25 per day on adsense and now I am invisible.  Doesn't even come up in a search, so much for all that backlinking work.

Ah that sucks, this change is taking people that shouldn't be affected... I'm all for getting rid of total crap in the search results but that's your site that you have built up, seems very unfair to me. Man... Google is getting too big for it's boots I think... Sorry again :(

@magistudios: What's overloading? That's an interesting question. If you put all the ads Google allows you (not overloading, by Google's definition) you end up with a heck of a lot of ads (overloading, by my definition).

@mcstir: Sorry you lost revenue.

@general: Prior to the change, www.remortgages.com was #3 for remorgage and www.remortgagesbadcreditornot.com was 2. The first one had some 17,000 backlinks, the latter 653. The 1st had bought 7500 backlinks in July last year and 9500 in August (all this info from majesticseo.com). Prior to the buying the thousands of backlinks they were in the same position as after buying. And, now, they're not on page on as per Market Samurai. Now #remortgagesbadcreditornot.com is still #2, and #3 is aremortgages.com that most of the past 12 months got a handful to 200 backlinks per month (except one month where they got 1000).

Tons of backlinks doesn't, necessarily, get you far now, but it was not the perfect solution before, either.

Google seem to have gone crazy. They just banned me from Adwords for sending traffic to a WA site apparently too similar to many others! In other words they will not allow "affiliate" links to be seen on a landing page now. It appears that law makers and Google now have it in for affiliates.

That's scary!

I'm not sure what happened. All I know is that a search for my url shows nothing, none of the articles come up and now my Adsense has gone to zero from almost $26 a day.

Oh my! Awful! Is your site DEINDEXED? Or lost rankings? I have a theory on this latest Google update (IF that is what the cause is for your issue) that might shed some light.

My blog is PotPieGirl.com (it's the newest post). Feel free to stop by if you'd like.

Jay is correct you may wish to take a look at this blog entryhttps://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/wa_spaces_profile/index/pid/34769/tab/blog/blog_id/11976

Here is what I have read: "Some SEOs are interpreting this to mean sites overloaded with AdSense and others advertisements are now in Google's crosshairs." Here's the source ==> http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/110304-095114

Hey its me again. I just read an interesting post by Kyle on the WA blog. You may want to check it out I think this is exactly what has effected you. http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/blog/does-google-hate-article-marketing/

That is awful! Every marketers worse nightmare. Have you tried to make contact with google? Maybe you can find out what it is that got your page slapped.
