Well, talk about a pleasant surprise!
Following the WA training, I applied to Google AdSense after only 11 articles had been written, assuming that there was no way that I would get approved.....but I applied anyways. Imagine my surprise when I received an email from Google AdSense saying, "Your site is now ready to serve AdSense ads. Congrats!".
This journey has been a fun one so far and I'm looking forward to what happens next!
