Hello Melva.I located your site after some member told me to get the URL at the very bottom of the page,It might be worth saying to folk.What I mean is it is not underneath your profile so to make sure folks get to your site let them know to go to the bottom of the page or else add it below your profile pic.
I think your site looks very good however I was a bit put off with some of the blank spaces down the left side,I think you have got talent and I can see you have the potential for the site to grow.
As a suggestion you might might want to add audio books from Amazon for the people who do not read so well or just want to relax with a good story,also you could do some research to where people can buy large print in books for the partially sited.

I really like your site although I'm looking at it on my phone right now so Im not doing it justice! I strongly agree about the flashing green thing, it's quite off putting. I'll look again tomorrow on a bigger screen. Good work though!

I like your background photo with bookshelves. Is there a way you can find a version that is larger (higher resolution) so it looks a little more clear? I would try versions that are crisp first. If they don't look right, then go for a soft-focus look. This one is low-res and kind of blocky - but I like the fact that you put it there. A very nice touch that "warms up" your site.

When making different menu selections, your whole site flashes to a solid green before the next page loads. Dig down in your theme and find where the page background color is set, and change it to solid white. It will probably still flash, but to white instead of green, and I think this will be easier on your visitor's eyes. The flash is probably a theme-related issue. Black may work, also. You'll just have to experiment.

So what what did you try that's new? I don't remember your old site.
