Golden Numbers

I have been working at putting new content up on my blog and not much else lately. I have a great idea in the works for a second site now that I am done witht the certification training.

What I am not very sure on and could use some imput about is ratio. What would you say is a good amount of pages without affiliate links in comparison to pages with links? Something like three pages of no links at 1000 words each to one page with links at 1000 words?

I am trying to research keywords for my new site. i would like to be sure to have enough non sales article keywords to balance out the sales words. I have found lots of keywords that will catch people in the late part of the sales cycle and close to purchase. These will make great keywords for article with links.

I just need to figure out how many articles without links to balance it out with. Any suggestions?

Also have been thinking a lot on numbers lately. Is there a good ration of links to overall words in an article. I know it isn't that clear cut, but a guide line would be nice. Like 5 links per every 1000 words or something to that effect. Any suggestions?

I don't want to have google think my sites are a bridge or too spammy. I do however want to help my readers find items quickly. I have lots of products in my categories and not all of them can be one item for sale per page.

Could really use some advice or suggestions on this from people who have ranked and made sales from their pages.
