I was watching CNN today.as you see the screen image.

NYT: Facebook let 150+ companies access your private messages.

'Facebook considers the partners extensions of itself''. -Steve Satterfield, Facebook Dir of privacy and public policy to the New York Times

Shouldn't this spying and sharing private info and messages be considered criminal?

I would think it would be criminal but I don't see why they don't do something about this issue because this should not be happening.

This is really going to hit Facebook hard because people are losing trust if they haven't already. Something needs to be done about this issue already.

Do they not know what private means because if they don't know they need someone to explain it to them already.

I think there are many laws that some billionaires break and nobody cares about. The laws and punishment are usually for the rest of us.

The only thing that makes sense to Mark Zuckerberg is making money, not people's privacy.

I hope Facebook gets shut down asap.

Facebook needs to be checked, bad. They are out of control and think they are above the law. I am in facebook jail(again) for the dumbest reason.

Most likely, but can we do anything at all about it? Probably not, unfortunately.

Yes,I deactivated my FB account last year.
But it is up to every individual to share his/her personal info or not.
