Wa rank

I use to care about what my WA rank was. But, after realizing that I was spending too much time trying to get my rank down....I gave up on it. I came as low as 190..something but that didn't last long.

Fact is, I was spending way too much time trying to get my rank down and NOT enough time on my actual sites.

It is my sites that will earn me real income, not by WA rank. Not to bust anyone's bubble here, but I have to make a living. I want these sites to be my full time job, but I have to have the income to justify this and it simply has not happened yet after 15 month working hard at it. NEVER GIVE UP.

Sure, business comes first! Mike.

I never will give up--WA offers this exciting information and forum to me at what I consider to be a good price, and I can see how the sites I am establishing are going to further help my already established physical businesses--so much to do--so little time!
GREAT TALK, MATT!
Jeff

Matt - So true. Rank here doesn't translate to success in your online business. It's nice to have, but it's not the be all to end all.

I absolutely agree. I have never much worried about my ranking as I was too busy learning and doing the tasks. I do enjoy noting what it does when I complete posts, answer questions and follow others though. It often does the opposite to what I expect. :-)

Hi, If you just focus on helping people you can still do well in both your website (s) and WA ranking. But you are right, the reason why you are here is to have a thriving business.

Great thought.

John

I will get off my perch and do likewise soon Matt!

I agree. Don't waster your time with rank, focus on your businesses. Besides, with all of these constant algorithmic changes, rank means very little anymore.

You know I am going to take your attitude and just do as much as I can and stop worrying about ranks.

It's kinda some form of freedom and as a result, we will do better.

Thank you for sharing

Ismail

I did the exact same thing. I used to be in the top 200 and realized that ranks are just sort of bragging rights. I am still active within the community, but I don't value my rank as something worth watching. Like you I have been here for a long time and still need to monetize my sites, so rank is not important anymore. I focus on my sites now.

I'm very intrigued with the whole ranking system, and it has definitely been a hot topic. I know one day, I'll meet Kyle and Carson and I'll just have to ask them "Why?"

It's easy to get caught up in it, but now, I just see it as a fun thing to do. Just when I think I have a deeper understanding of teh WA algorithm, it flips the script!

For me, the 1st 12-14 months was just laying a foundation and finding my grove. I'm definitely more mentally prepared to take my business to a new level, with the understanding that what drives me may not drive someone else...and that's OK.

All the best to you, Matt!
